Google Algorithm Update

Hello,

https://www.seroundtable.com/google-...ity-29211.html

I have lost google traffic since yesturday.

What about you?

carlAce 03-29-2020 10:08 AM

It reached -50% less traffic at one point.

From 1st of March until 14th was progressively dropping, started coming back up on 14th until the 16th then it dropped drasticlly back down and ever since 21st im coming back up.

No big changes from my side, same strategy etc.

Last update was on 24th March and this is not a core algorithm update... check your site backlink profile.... do not touch on site seo because some tome is flux as well

Nothing too major yet. Nothing like that insane one from the other month.

Yes, it is down on a site that wasn't SEO-ed completely. (not all pages are SEO-ed). I will wait for a while before making conclusions. I am just checking targeted keyword rankings at this moment and those randomly checked are on the same positions. Maybe thin content pages sinked what should always be expected at some point.

Other sites that where every page is SEO-ed and created by SEO rules from scratch have a 10% google traffic increase in the same period (but it is a much smaller site and those fluctuations are normal).

Once I am done with checking and if it stays like this,it means only one (and same as it always was), hard work pays off long term, good quality sites will survive and make money.

Also, we should consider that the global Covid situation can change what people are searching and where from they are doing it.

I am looking at the stats, looking at the same day one week earlier ( one week is ok, it has same visit as for at least a year back) and I am noticing next:

1. Google: 25% down
2.Bing: 20,81% down
3.Yahoo: 34,68 down
4. Duckduckgo: 6.10% down.
5. Yandex: 35% down

Based on that, it is clear that it is not only a google update. Nothing changed here so I could blame it on an internal change. Also, one of my top referral link partners is sending 47,38% fewer clicks in the same comparison period.

Oh yes, I am checking over 790 keywords at the moment. Once the analysis is done, I will check the positions of all those that were in the top 10 and see is there a drop in positions approximately matching drop in SE traffic for a particular site. This will tell a lot.

UPDATE: Just checked analytics from 4 different clients. They are shoving identical curves as my site.
As with everything, more info we have, we will make better conclusions.

My traffic on all of my sites has been increasing.
