Paysite paid members numbers

Hi Guys,

I just wondering how much paid members have an average adult paysite. Does anyone have any information about that ? - certainly without company names. Just tell me some examples or ranges in numbers.
Thanks.

How many customers does a store have?

ladida 04-04-2020 04:14 PM

They have from 1 to 300 000 members.

IstvanXXX 04-05-2020 12:50 AM

ladida, 1-300.000 members its correct, but its too wide limits. Anyone has a more exact experience or information ? I really wanna know the typical numbers of paid members for a common adult paysite. What is the worldvide avarage in these years ?

Like it have been said again and again, you cant look at it that way.

It depend on so many factors. Any number between 1 and 300.000 is equal correct

Thanks Militsa. :) I think these 1000-1500 paid member number have to be for an avarage sized paysite. Its not a small one, and not a "blacked" one... Am I right ?

I think example: Naughty America, Blacked or Digital Playground have much more than this. And Brazzers maybe 10 or 20 times more than this...
What do you think ?

You are literally pulling numbers out of your ass, faster Paul Markham on one of his better days. It's clear you already have a number in your head you want to be true, and then arrange all your theories around it so it become true.

Just tell us the number you want it to be, and you can have some of the other amateurs confirm it in a heartbeat

Such a random question when there is so much variation in one site to the next like content, niche, marketing, geo etc...

What do you consider average paysite? Additionally, what would you need to know what other sites paid members average is? Do you own paysites? Thinking of starting?

I think the string answer is the best based on the variables :thumbsup

Thanks for your comment Ferus. Yes I have numbers in my head, just wanted to get some other ideas, experiences, examples as two other did it for me...

It is just a simple conversation, not more... Dont be angry for this.

And certainly my or other's numbers are not count anything... - Just sharing some experiences between the guys here...

Partially you are right Mr Neighbor. :) Like the politicans :winkwink:

Avarage is avarage. Not a starter site, and not the best. An avarage.

And as I sad, its just an experience - sharing between us, to use it for further thinking, or strategy.

Most of the people here in adult industry are nice person - that is my experience.

And sharing the knowledge, or anything - is a good thing - mainly this heavy world....

ladida 04-07-2020 11:05 AM

Sharing paysite member numbers is not sharing knowledge :)
And many site owners here will actually act like they have much more members then they do, for obvious reasons. Those that have many members don't post much, or at all for even more obvious reasons. So that brings us to the number of 1 to 300 000.

A paysite is a business. Try reverse engineering the expenses into how much revenue is required to be profitable.

1000-1500 members at $30 is $360-540k per year.

Possible expenses:

- content
- software, hosting
- employees (accounting, design, sales, support?)
- billing % :warning

Where are these members coming from? Is there an affiliate program?

13 years ago I ran paysites with cheap content, my own tracking software, and my own organic traffic. Did not need a lot of members to earn a decent living.

A paysite with one exclusive scene per week paying 50% to affiliates with 1-2 employees might struggle to break even with 1000 members.

Easy. Its exactly twice as long as it is from the middle to either end :2 cents:

NatalieK 04-07-2020 04:34 PM

IŽd be interested to know if the larger paysites have noticed a significant reduction in members joining at this moment in time with the pandemic...

Maybe more so, I notice many people joining my trial $5 for 5 days and then leaving, only to return a month later for similar, rather than paying out $20 a month...

obviously looking after the pennies, but is this the same for everyone with paysites?

ZENRA 04-08-2020 12:47 PM

I don't think any paysite that openly tells how many subscribers it has is telling the truth.

Possibly you are right Zenra, but if get some rough numbers like 1-3K members or something, it is enaught to getting some idea.

every site has a growth trajectory based on demand and investment. that part is pretty easy. the hard part is climbing up to the next level. all sites continuously plateau (porn and mainstream).
