Drop in traffic from Google in one day
 

Hello! Traffic on one of my sites fell more than twice a couple of days ago. I think this is due to the latest May 2020 Core Update.
Has anyone seen their site traffic plummet by half or even more over the past few days?

Does anyone use Clodflare?
Technical support of my hosting provider wrote to me that there was a surge in the load on the server. They recommend enabling query protection and filtering for my site.
Updating the Google core can cause a surge in server load?

How are your sites doing now?

Google announced that they're done rolling out the May 2020 core update 2 days ago.

Initially my sites did take a hit in traffic, but i'm sure everyones did.

Now that the dust has settled all my sites have seen an increase.

The highest being a 148% increase in organic traffic to a london escorting agency. Albeit their services aren't in demand right now, but they're in a good position once things clear up.

My sites have been increasing SEO lately... I guess I got lucky with the update. ;-)
