Anyone Have A Virtual Personal Assistant?
 

This week I am hiring a virtual personal assistant to take care of all the tasks I miss that need doing. Anyone have any experience with virtual assistants? If so, where did you find them and what is the cost? Platforms vary and candidates are all over the place in terms of skills and rates. Communication is key so if it's a Third World worker they would need to adjust their schedule, be available when I need them, etc.

Bottom line question: has the VA improved your life/work/business or was it a frustrating waste of time and money?

How much do they normally pay for something like that? - I see that Zirtual site is US graduates only and pays very little...

What services do you plan to assign them?

Updating the various Affiliate programs (adding content, sending out emails).
Building new sites in Wordpress.
Working with my designer and programmer to oversee projects.
Oversee email campaigns.
Preparing content for new sites.
Any kind of busy work needed - fix that, change this, add that, etc.

Can't get me coffee tho, that's a downside. :)

Super worth it. The main tips I'd give are make sure you are clear on what you want them to do. They don't organize your everything for you the way an IRL executive assistant can. You may want to hire multiple assistants with different skills. As a successful entrepreneurial webmaster, you wear a lot of hats, but the people you hire may be awesome at one hat and unhappy and less helpful pushed into a second hat.

Selenium is free, a little outside the box thinking and xml instructions to Selenium are also free.

I also have two VPA's and I am very satisfied...:thumbsup

Honestly there are guys on this board that might work out for you.

Go to the forum and post. Have them show you their current work and prove it. Then you work out a deal.

Many people in need of extra money now so they should be willing to take a deal to start out.

When I was younger I've dreamed of having an assitant around so she can give me head whenever I wanted to.

Those are good things. For the longest time I've been stubborn about delegating out tasks, but have started to do so these last few years and it's very much worth it. You can only grow so much without adding extra people to your team.
