It's all the shitty business stuff he did.

Stealing people's work, not paying his talent, over-printing his commissions so he could sell more on the side, all the criminal characters that he worked with and for, etc.

He had zero business ethics. His Foundation is still being sued for crap he did
30 or 40 years ago. I wrote a detailed book about what he did and how he got away with it.
Took over a year to research, write and edit it.

yeah he dies. Actually that was his last "artwork", a commission for a bank in Italy. I tested Last Supper or distressed Soup Can for the cover. Can polled higher but those who preferred LS had more interest.

I worked with amateur models for about 8 years. Mostly NN or almost NN, when that was still a thing. Did business with a few of the folks on here and at foogie.

On November 25, 2009 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, one family sued the Warhol Foundation for filming their father, then 14 year old R***** T***, smoking pot and self-mutilating on camera in Warhol's '64 film, All Aboard to Dreamland Choo Choo.

Anyway, more annoying is that I can't sell a paper book or even a pdf-ebook with the pics I posted here. Not without risk anyway. So can only tell part of the story. Damm shame.

I live about 25 minutes away from the Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh, if you ever get a chance to visit it's actually a good time...

I'd guess anyone who became famous and stayed famous in NYC in the late 50s through 70s did some bad shit; he did a lot of it. Even the ballerinas* were sticking cocaine up their asses in those days. Further, Warhol was a marketer, and most celebrity in the 60s and 70s was outright fabrication (see Rock Hudson).

I pretty much agree with you on Warhol, and kudos on writing a book about it. I'll check it out if I have some time.
