Where we are on the Orihuela Coast, from Alicante to Murcia, zero covid for months, however, 500 miles north, and 500 south, Spain´s at nearly 10k a day new cases! Personally, as the virus isn´t around here, everyone wearing masks and keeping a distance, it feels very safe, but knowing it´s just up the road, the reality is still scary :helpme |
I do. Most got better. I know one person on a ventilator now.
Seems to hit poor countries harder. My theory, You got to keep working in a poor country. You take time off, you are fucked. So they work themselves to death. |
i do ...and he was pretty bad.Now it`s ok
Ps:2 weeks in hospital :( |
People who especially were in a doubt about it, got infected :error

This 'disease' is doing exactly what the flu does every year... It's killing the fat, the unhealthy and the old folks that don't take care of their body. The fear porn media, the politicians and the dumb fucking morons screaming it's real are killing far more people because of suicides, overdoses, domestic violence, etc. |
I believe it exists, but don't believe that its as prevalent as the say it is.
I do believe that an element of over the top fear has been introduced as a form of control, but dont think its anywhere near as bad as they want us to believe. Like NotInMyBackyard says, it's not much more than a new strain of flu. |

Nobody wants to pay attention to the collateral damage done due to lock downs. You mentioned suicides, overdoses and domestic violence and can add to that; much higher levels of depression overall, deaths from cancer and cardiovascular disease increasing and will increase for months due to people or hospitals delaying treatment (it's too late at one point), economic strain on the middle class, higher economic strain on the poor resulting in high levels of stress in the house and for those kids not going to school I feel for them. On top of that the UN predicts 100k people and children will starve due to food shortages resulting from lock downs and 1.5 million extras deaths from tuberculosis due to lock down and those infected not getting treatment, so it spreads. Never mind changing the economy for years to come. We don't bat an eye at any of that. Yes the virus is real and yes it is worse than the flu but some perspective is badly needed here. |

Like Kim Woo-joo: professor in the department of infectious diseases with 30 years experience where he had to deal with ebola, swine flu, MERS etc ... he says "COVID 19 pandemic is the most challenging". There is also Dr. Jerome Kim, the Director General of the International Vaccine Institute. Watch the first 2 videos carefully, then come back and tell me this is a fake pandemic ;) |
Quote:
So it is "fake" in a sense, as in we are reacting as if we are in the midst of the 1918 Spanish Flu - a very serious pandemic - when in fact we are in a much milder version of what pandemic brings to mind and that we should be reacting to it accordingly. |

Because I'm an old man I know a lot of old people. Before this bullshit about Covid the majority of them were either obese or hacking up their lungs. Every fucking flu season at least half of them were in the hospital on their death bed. So if Covid is a "pandemic" it's because far too many people are overweight.. they won't workout... they smoke/vape... and they do drugs! It's a sad statement of fact that at my age I can put most 20 year boys to shame running laps. If the fucking flu was killing millions of people I would simply call it Darwin at work. Quote:
This entire thing is political and at this point I wouldn't doubt for 1 minute that it's a scam to win the November election. Quote:

I don't argue on the Internet anymore, this is bad for my blood pressure and my general well being. I am merely posting a link to videos that showcase scientists who know what they are talking about as opposed to John Does who "have impressions that "it is fake". You replied to me right away, I suggest you watch the videos first and then form an opinion. We're not experts. Also, the consequences of the virus have been mitigated for obvious reasons: we are in 2020, scientists have access to experience, knowledge, communication etc ... + governments have put in place some restrictions and lock-downs. Now that those countries are lifting the lockdowns, we see a raise in cases (2nd wave). That's as much time as I am willing to spend on the topic. Good luck everyone! :) |
whatever you want to call it, it got these dirty mother fuckers to stop breathing on us all the time. we haven't had a cold or flu in the family since january.

People who trust their own instincts when it comes to science and health are not smart people. |
I don't know anyone personally who died of Ebola, Tuberculosis or brain cancer.
I also don't know anyone who died from falling from a ladder. So i guess all these things don't exist either. |

I bet that it stopped you enjoying the experience as much as you could have... Never mind though... There's always another day, and another sushi restaurant :thumbsup |

I know someone who died from COVID.... His name was Steve and he was a reporter at the local newspaper here in town (think small town). He had been there for ever and was well known and well liked.
Our daughter's best friend tested positive for COVID... She went to a party on a Friday and caught COVID, spent an hour with my daughter in the car on Sunday, and on Tuesday tested positive for COVID. Our daughter went on lockdown for a week because of it. It was rather scary. |

I know you said that discussing this stuff is stressful and I know what you mean. Thanks though for being civil about it and for a conversion instead of smearing, name calling and hostility. Too much of that online already. |

The cure is already here and incredibly cheap: azithromycin, hydroxychloroquine and zinc. But the big money is in the vaccine. So you scare people to increase demand, then hit them up with the vaccine. Marketing 101. |
My aunt spend exactly 100 days in hospital after catching Kung Flu. Of which she spend nearly 6 weeks on a ventilator.
She got out just over a month ago but was taken back to hospital 2 days ago because her breathing is still so bad. She is generally fit etc so.....thread OP is an imbecile. Like has been said already, so if you don't know someone who has died from ebola, or fucking cancer even, then it doesn't exist ? Amazing... |
I had it. My son had it. Its real and its worse than any flu.
Its the first time I have been sick in 7 years. I am in great shape, eat well and exercise every day. |

It's got to be over 50% of the population !!! I mean we shut down the world economy and told everyone to stay home for 6 months. Also, I suspect that the excavation work going on down the street from me is not going to be a new condo building but a mass grave !! All this stuff about there being only 1 million Covid Deaths in a world of 7.8 billion people is pure conspiracy theory. I mean no one in their right mind would shut down the entire world and impose such draconian measures on the public for such an insignificant number of deaths. |
Europe: 90% of citizens wore masks.
USA: 50% of citizens wore/wear masks. Europe: back to normal (no masks, kids in school, bars open, indoor dining, etc) USA: still fucked up the ass like a $2 whore. You decide. |

Just found out my nephew in SoCal has COVID and is in the ICU. |

Strange how cases spiked "after" they implemented heavy mask use? Europe - kids in school last spring with no masks. Everything okay. Europe - Softer lock downs than USA (Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Holland). Everything okay. Hawaii - high mask usage, cases spiking Japan - high mask usage, cases spiking. Masks have nothing to do with stopping the spread. |

Prince Charles had a mild cold at age 70 something? Many nursing home residents were asymptomatic or had mild colds too. |

Je suis français/québécois and I do a hell of a lot of business in Europe. I bet can find lots of examples where Europe has lost it's brains WORSE than the good old USA Quote:
For a disease that's killed less than 1 million people world wide there are way too many people pushing for this bullshit magically know/have someone in their life that's on the Covid death bed. So if I don't see proof it's bullshit 1 million dead with a world population of 7.8 billion is no where near fucking close to 1% of the population |

I have no idea what the status of ICU rooms are in Southern California. |
Two friends of mine have died from it. One was overweight and had diabetes. The other was 74 year old male. Died on a ventilator after 48 days.
Several people I know who are between 20 and 35 got it and all recovered. Two had wives who got it as well, but were asymptomatic. |
