Surfers would move to another Tube and the effect to people in the industry would be nothing too low.

Traffic follows content.

I would gain several places in the SERPS?

a few tubes would take the traffic as would more of the paysites...

people don´t mind paying for traffic, especially with christmas deals! :thumbsup

I believe xhamster, xvideos, and spankbang would take over those spots.

What I find interesting, is the sites that don't allow uploads. They just upload stolen content. And they have been up for years.

Funny thing is , i actually experienced what happens when big tube is shutdown - if anyone remembers, there used to be security breach at one big host which resulted in deletion of content of all their clients, including xvideos/xnxx. As i was ranked second right after them on some keywords, i was receiving 100% more traffic then usual until they fixed downtime problem.

Shufuni was quite big a few years ago and it shutdown overnight, nobody notice. Same with pornhub people just move on.

I think there are a lot content producers that make a living from pornhub premium. Plus they send a lot of signups.. so yeah, I think it would hurt a lot of people.

the feds shut down girlsdoporn. mindgeek the parent company of pornhub, should follow suit for hosting illegal content.

Well if pornhub goes down it will take a lot of small businesses down as well. But those who can anticipate the change and adopt quickly will actually become more successful. The question is - why did pornhub do this? They already had unlimited opportunities and money, why risk it all?

True but how many signs up do ALL tubes hurt in the long run!!
