Never have i ever had zero plans to spend "hogmanay". Looks like it will be the wife and I at home and watching some BS on tv whilst having a drink. Can't see it being a late one at all.

I know people everywhere are in different types of lockdown, in the UK we are in different 'tiers', which isn't working, so yeah people will be going to visit others for sure but as to places actually being open, pretty much nothing here.


Anyway, that's how we will be spending ours...what you guys got going on if anything ??

shall probably get a load of bubbly in tomorrow, enjoy a few drinks and watch the fireworks from our roof. It looks over a 40 mile length of the coast from over Torrevieja to La Manga, quite a beautiful and thrilling sight. Hopefully it won´t be much different this year as many people will still have family parties at their homes :thumbsup

I actually had a chat with someone the other day who was rattling on as if by the stroke of midnight, everything goes all rosy again and we can get the shitty year out the way and start afresh.

Had to point out that next year will be a few months of the same shit at least so don't quite get too excited yet.



People forget that this year started as normal (for most of us), and that it's actually 2021 that's gonna start off fucked...

yesterday i got the 1 year ago reminder of the overseas news from the Wuhan lab that something went wrong. that news was quickly covered up. Americans didn't broadcast the news for another month.

webmasters and ecommerce folks were mostly untouched (maybe better off), at least compared to brick and mortar retail and restaurants, but it was a fuckery of a year for most people. the polls say only 13% of people thought 2020 was a good year. i'm in that group. a year is a year. most are good, others are still good but with more bullshit.

2am here now. Been a very strange but, manageable New Years for me. Just the two of us in the house having a drink. Sent the usual texts to friends and family. Foned dad to make sure he was ok.

This year has been the shittiest for most of us, and not looking for sympathy but 2017 will always be my worst year so if anything 2020 gave it a good run but still didn't top the list of shit years on a personal level so....


Onwards we go !!

Started off with my morning walk and workout. Picked up a couple 4-paks and had some Oreoz, Hula Dancer, Strawberry Badlands and Chemstomper delivered.

A friend stopped by for a while and we enjoyed the party favors.

I was in bed around 12:30 and awake before 7:30

was an amazing night, plenty of bubbly, lots of dancing and so many fireworks from over Torrevieja, right down through Playa Flamenca, Cabo roig and La Zenia, all the way across to La Manga and the peninsula...

everyone was shouting from their own homes, Feliz Ani Nuevo, happy new year... we have a midnight curfew, so from our own homes and apartments we all partied!

And as of midnight tonight, we are in FULL lockdown.
