Is the google algorythm really so complicated?
 

Since a while i research a bit about rankings and what sites claim the first page of a keyword or phrase.

And when i check these sites it all looks like its really just all about backlinks, your can go down from 1 to 10 and u see clearly gow the simple numbers getting smaller. So all this endless seo guides are sensless and its all about how many backlinks and how good they are. If this is the truth, then buying backlinks is the only right way to place your budget.

I only researched in the adult niche - sure it's a bit different cause there is much less text used.

What do u think or lerned? Would you agree or did u see something else?

There's definitely a lot going on in terms of understanding what a query actually means and what topic a page is actually about, but when it comes to who ranks it's pretty simple. Backlinks, dwell time, direct traffic, and domain age. A few random trust signals like frequent updates, who owns the site, etc. That's really about it.

No, don't publish dog shit and your sites do well. I've never in my life given a fuck about backlinks.

backlinks will be important for the larger queries and more competetive ones too -
however if your site is rubbish and content sucks then backlinks wont do shit.

also very possible to never need to build any links and pull in mad traffic espeically in longtail searches.

When it comes to links, you want to do the most you can with the least possible is my phylosophy

Go back to those rankings you were looking at. Then take a look for those back links for those keywords. You will find some. but not enough to really make a difference.

Than stop and think about the Time On Site of the sites listed at the top. Then look at your own analytics and check your TOS.
