y'all got common ravens in your neighborhood?
 

I found out ravens are as smart as chimps and can figure out water displacement, which kids don't figure out until 5-7.

when I see ravines I know they are planning something. they pretty serious thinkers, and tricksters. about 8 years ago I came across a bunch of ravens in a tree 'yellin'. so fuck it, I started yelling too... lol turns out the ravens were yelling at a hawk sitting in the tree.

the hawk took off and the ravens became my friends. when I was out in the woods with my dog, the ravens would fly over head and tell me were the coyotes was. twice me and the dog had to run a bunch of coyotes off that had circled, well and old lady holding a little nasty dog. my dog made short work of running the coyotes off :1orglaugh

the ravens would also let me know when someone was at the gate or coming up the drive every morning a bunch or green parrots would swarm the trees and the ravens had to run them off... every morning, the parrot wars!! lol

I haven't made friends with the ravens out here yet. little bit different in town.
