CaptainHowdy 04-22-2021 09:29 AM

Don't think an extra half inch would do any difference for me :( . . .

Sid70 04-22-2021 09:47 AM

I nearly fainted after 5 minutes of waiting in a hall, blood pressure went low for some reason. I felt a bit light headed for 2 days. Drank a lot of water and Netflixed. Day 3 I was back to do yoga again.

Which brand did you get?

I was in a room full of people and haven't heard those symptoms at all. We were given seats and waited 15min's to see if there were any reactions - everyone left (60 seats) - I keep watching posts in my community with no symptoms and most of my family has had it done.

Pfizer, #1. Well, i can confirm I saw much older people doing ok, I was the only one who had that. After injection I felt an impact almost instantly, like a deep thin punch in the hand and then in my top shoulder part, then my legs felt weak. I went out and waited for 5 minutes and then returned almost pale, they put me down, my knees bent and it slowly went back to normal, they registered a a blood pressure that is usually low for me. In 15 minutes I was ok. But then within 2 days I was feeling a bit weak.

CurrentlySober 04-22-2021 10:41 AM

I have my second dose of Pfizer due early next month. ZERO effects from the first jab...

Paul&John 04-22-2021 11:16 AM

Lucky you, still waiting for pfizer :(

yuu.design 04-22-2021 11:58 AM

Congrats man! Keep safe :)

Well I'm 60 and live in Ontario so that's why. Sorry to hear of your side effects - the waiting room where you're suppose to sit for 15min no one got up and complained. I suppose the discomfort you felt will be worth it in the end that if you get the virus it won't have such a major impact on you which can be worse than what you were feeling. Stay strong an glad that you got it done.

The news over here says that the sputnik is only 50% effective - is that true and what you heard?

Conclusions

These SARS-CoV vaccines all induced antibody and protection against infection with SARS-CoV. However, challenge of mice given any of the vaccines led to occurrence of Th2-type immunopathology suggesting hypersensitivity to SARS-CoV components was induced. Caution in proceeding to application of a SARS-CoV vaccine in humans is indicated.

This is just a rumor.
This vaccine is superb as well.
Do a research, if you want, but I am sure others will post detailed info about it soon.
First I was skeptical - as most ppl I wanted to have Pfizer - as it's technology was developed by a fellow hungarian Lady, but I was so happy when my doc called me I can go for the shot :)

Frankly the ONLY ONE i would take would be the Russian one, and specifically because the media everywhere says it's bad.

Konrad, let's be honest, since when does it have ANY weight what media and politicians say? :1orglaugh :2 cents: :pimp

I praise my generation and friends we watched Natural Born Killers at the right age and understood how this works in time.

Fair enough so let's go another way - do you trust the CDC or infectious disease experts? I'm not saying to trust media - just curious as to what is happening - are the numbers going down and from your own research is it over 98% effective or 50% effect which is what is claimed outside of Russia.

Both are SARS. Both are mRNA. Different how?

Lots of ways: COVID‐19 and SARS: Differences and similarities

What do you mean by "both are mRNA"?

Pfizer and Moderna vaccines are the first mRNA vaccines to be approved.

From your link:
Quote:

Four candidate vaccines for humans with or without alum adjuvant were evaluated in a mouse model of SARS, a VLP vaccine, the vaccine given to ferrets and NHP, another whole virus vaccine and an rDNA-produced S protein.

I mean this study: https://journals.plos.org/plosone/ar...l.pone.0035421

And the current vaccines, utilize the exact same mechanism. mRNA. To treat a nearly identical disease.

No, they don't.

Not mRNA vaccines.

Semantics. It is the same novel and dangerous introduction of spike proteins that is the issue. These are not even vaccines by anything short of redefinition.

LOL - you said "both mRNA" - you even doubled down on it.

It's proteins that your immune system responds to, so the trick becomes identifying a protein that is unique to the target organism. Often it's proteins of the cell coats, but in this case it's the spike protein.

If you're an anti-vaxxer, just say that.

Russian vaccine is probably based on astra zeneca as oxford had security breach earlier in year.

Let me know in a decade how well attempting to trick your body worked. I'll continue to simply listen to mine.

The signs are trouble breathing, swelling of the face and throat, rash, and low blood pressure. It usually occurs soon after vaccination, and can be treated with epinephrine (as in an EpiPen). That’s why people are observed for at least 15 minutes after receiving the vaccine with epinephrine at the ready.

Agreed - though my niece had a shot - waited but the symptoms didn't show up until a few hours later. I told her to call the doctor and Covid center but eventually they went away -- thankfully. I myself who's in worse condition physically am doing great with no symptoms.

Not necessarily... just because they had a breach doesn't mean it's probable that it's based on that. Russia is a big country, lots of labs, lots of innovation. They are creating their own processors and own motherboards now too for critical infrastructure. There's no reason to think they can't develop their own vaccine.

Had a talk with a doc. Says, even if i want to do the 2nd it has to be in the hospital only where ER is at hand, not like those mobile or temporary places. I decided not to. Pfizer 1 is up to 80%, no Covid Pass but fuck it, even if I travel kids will have to get PCR tests anyway, so will do I.

one word: Bio Preparat.

One of the really few countries with advanced tech in military (bioweapons too).

SBJ 04-27-2021 09:50 AM

got my 1st dose of Moderna 2 weeks ago and a few days ago I noticed I have a COVID-19 vaccine delayed skin reaction that sometimes shows up later.

https://www.today.com/health/covid-1...n-week-t210990

Not my arm but looks like this
https://media2.s-nbcnews.com/j/newsc....fit-1120w.jpg

It should go away in a week or two and only requires to be iced once or twice a day. I get my 2nd dose May 11th

femdomdestiny 04-27-2021 02:46 PM

I've got Sputnik. I have the most trust in their stuff compared to the Pfizer or Chinese vaccine. No problems of any kind, and none of the people I know had a problem with it.
