Someone called the original one of this creepy. Girl daydreaming on a bed.. rough animation... I get it. Appreciate the advice....

Made some changes, added a short story and smoothed out the animation.

Still creepy? Maybe depressing as hell... (sound board... made a story from some of it LOL) But being soundboard audio, it's hard to get good voice expression....

So anyway... thoughts..... :thumbsup

- Is it something you can build to a business? no

I don't think it's too bad since I have only been learning this since the end on Jan. No mocap equipment so all the animation manual or from stock movements. The mouth and facial will be better once I get facial recognition.

In case you haven't noticed, animation has/is exploded/ing... games, movies... So please expand on the above :winkwink:

Did you watch it? She sounds it too. :winkwink: It's about a girl that lost her new job. From a soundboard called "The Submissive Maid". Fun stuff there but they do not blend into others well as you can tell by the way she is talking in this video.

#2 - Fact: Animation has/is NOT exploded. The general entertainment-market is growing, its just genereric market growth
#3 - FACT: Content sell based on quality - your content lack 3 out of 4 important market parameters

You ever check out renderotica? I have been wanting to dabble in porn with Daz3d. Only so many pro-bundles with dirty parts. At renderotica you can buy and sell those parts. I think they even sell animations there.

Its incredible what can be done in 3d now and its no wonder because every collage in every city in every country is churning out 3d artists, so its extremely hard for anyone to get started from scratch because for every person doing that there's 100 more that have just finished years of schooling in 3d design of some sorts.

Sadly for anyone starting that's the bar you have to reach, especially in mocap work where your competing with studios that have invested hundreds of thousands and have teams of staff for every aspect.

Agreed... just like graphic design... schools start pumping them out like water.

The mocap is an issue... but I am breaking it down one at a time. Just ordered my facial recognition yesterday, should be here by Wed, 5/4. Knowing limitations is the key.. a lot of this stuff gets broken down into segments. I can provide the facial animation that can be added to someones animation later. Once I get the facial gear, I will have the ability to generate much better realism. It will read movements and expressions. It will also record 2 characters at the same time which can be useful.

I know I have a long way to go... shit, I just started doing this end of Jan. this year. But the videos get better with each one. I should have left the original up for comparison. That was my bad.

I do not mind criticism, it helps me get better. However some people don't know the difference between being Frank and being Dick... (Best line in Planet Terror :1orglaugh:1orglaugh). And I think I gave this person a bad taste with my one post about the trial we had here where he was bitching about it being political when it was just about the trial. It seems since then, he has had an issue with me. No biggie, I am not losing sleep over it.

Anyway.... with luck, this new set up will give the faces life... I am looking forward to Wed. Oh and there is a bonus, this works with the 2D software I have as well. Like a kid at Christmas :1orglaugh

Thanks for posting your project! As a professional, here's my thoughts:

Not bad at all for a layperson. The subject is outfitted in an appealing and suggestive stylized outfit. I found myself glancing downward/upskirt a few times to see how revealing she was. That's a good sign for a scene.

The primary thing that makes this not work is the thing you already know about: the facial animations don't sync to the voice. That's a non-starter and it draws all the focus away. Once you get mocap for lip sync and facial expression, the same scene would be 50x better!

The voice work is superb! The lighting and shading are well done. I like the texture map for the skin and particularly the face, though there's probably better skin shaders out there (so B+ at least on that part).

The map is good and well textured too, and the breast motion looks good (B grade from me, which is still pretty good).

I wouldn't lose faith. You've got some ways to go, but as you've said repeatedly, you only started in January!

Please post an update when you fix the facial animation!

Speaking as a non professional in animation, but very proficient in VR, I would say it is really fucking good. As Idigmygirls said, it is suggestive and sexy. If you have only been doing this since January, I think you knocked it out of the park. I know VR took a few years to get right, so this is very impressive whether for commercial gain or just creative fun.

Facial Mocap Tuesday, unless ups misplaces my package LOL.

The comments are very much appreciated. Textures, yes, I am still learning those as well, more for scene creation than anything. The characters are pretty much stock. I have the ability to add things like freckles, tattoos, wrinkles etc, to get more realism out of them. I can also morph out just about any part of the character to create a plethora of human type characters.

Lighting is also something I am working on as well... it's not the greatest and I have been told that I can get better realism with better lights. I have been lighting pretty much the same way I was lighting for models back in the day... Should be the same but these computer lights seem to have more adjust-ability than lights on stands.

One thing I have a hard time with is moving around in the 3D environment. When I move around, I end up behind walls, under the floor, outside... Trying to maneuver around a tiny 3D apartment takes some getting use to. It's not like RL when you just place things where you want them... sometimes its a challenge to get to the right spot in the 3D world. LOL.

Chipping away one thing at a time, trying to get smooth walking on a motion path with 2 90 degree turns. The walking part is easy, adding the manual turns are still choppy as hell. :(
