So what exactly is the "mask" rules if any where you live ???

Fucking sick of the things. And it doesn't look like they will be going away in the next few weeks at the very least here anyway.

The rest of the UK looks set to scrap the compulsory wearing of a mask on the 19th of this month. Our government though says we should expect masks to be mandatory for another while yet. Even though many people have been double vaccinated. I get my 2nd one this Saturday.

Going in to pubs and restaurants and still having to wear a mask when moving about or going to the toilet, and still no ordering or standing at the bar etc is just tedious now and it's at the point again is it worth staying in instead of the masking madness. Especially when many other countries seem to have moved on. Even the taxi ride out sitting in the back only (so 3 people which means 2 couples going out for a meal are fucked, 2 taxis) since they dont let you sit in the front. Even with a mask on. So 3 people in the back of a cab all sitting with masks just to go for a meal......bah!

Any streams/vids i watch from America seems to be mask free ? Is it simply optional everywhere now or what's the deal ?

hamiltonsteele 07-08-2021 10:05 AM

Maybe it's time the public accepts the fact that bad things are always going to happen and letting
fear control your life won't change a damn thing.

This ends when the public says it ends otherwise each time some government bureaucrat wants
some attention or another pay raise they're going to imprison everyone until they get it.

moln4r 07-08-2021 10:09 AM

Hungary is mask free rn. You need to wear it in hospitals tho

fuzebox 07-08-2021 10:46 AM

Our state opened "fully" last week... Indoor dining, no masks in stores. Still need masks in doctors office/hospitals, and when taking public transportation or riding in taxis/ubers.

EddyTheDog 07-08-2021 10:49 AM

Mass public transport only - Although, with what's happening in Australia with this Delta variant I can see problems on the horizon - Crossing fingers ATM...

OneHungLo 07-08-2021 11:35 AM

We've been mask-free with all restrictions lifted for a few months now. The only place you have to wear a mask is in the hospital or the doctor's office.

Thank god because I was sick of all the 'you have to wear a mask for this, but not for that' nonsense.

kane 07-08-2021 11:51 AM

For the last week or so we have had the mask mandate lifted. Most of the stores and businesses around here now have signs on the doors that say something like, "Masks recommended for those who are unvaccinated."

Some businesses are making employees wear them and others are not.

8pt-buck 07-08-2021 12:26 PM

New Jersey - Princeton -
Businesses / Post offices / Convenience stores, signs all over :

Vaccinated : No mask required
Un-Vaccinated : Mask required

Now who the fuck is vaccinated and who is not ?
Delta Variant is spreading here in the states at a record pace as the Fed Gov. is allowing folks to run wild.

Wait till around Christmas and watch the bodies drop ...

I'm already stocked up on supplies ... A couple more $500 grocery purchases and we're good till April 2022 .. :thumbsup

Nice way to live, huh ... Thanks China!

dcortez 07-08-2021 12:42 PM

British Columbia, Canada has backed off state of emergency measures.

Masks are only recommended for indoor spaces, by people who have not received full doses of vaccine.

In workplaces, employers/employees set their own policies and follow them - many are wearing masks.

Customers of businesses are not required to wear masks.

There are some nuances about bar table hopping, where masks are required.

So-called double-dose vaccinated people, who can still carry and spread COVID-19 (without dying from it), don't have to wear masks, even though masks protect people FROM those who may be contagious - at least that's what health authorities used to say.

That's how things are here. I expect end of November to not be pleasant for a lot of people.

MakeMeGrrrrowl 07-08-2021 12:57 PM

We're open in NJ for no mask. So far all the stores I've been have been mask-free.

It’s the same thing here in Toronto, however we still can’t go into a restaurant or pub. Just patios for now. Indoor dinning is set to resume on July 20th. It’s stupid now. This is a province mandate and there are over 15m people in Ontario. We are averaging about 150 to 200 new cases a day and there are only 1500 active cases in the whole province. Only 200 people in hospital with the virus. Yet we still can’t eat inside or go to a gym. That said many gyms like mine have been secretly opening. We go around the side door and text who’s working to let us in lol!!

Sick of COVID

Rochard 07-08-2021 01:15 PM

Here in California we are opened, with no masks required for the most part. You still have to wear them on public transit, court houses, hospitals... but that's about it.

I am about to go to the movies for the first time.

Here in Edmonton , Alberta , Canada Not vaccinate or vaccinated = NO MASK NO RESTRICTION, EVERYTHING IS OPEN BACK TO NORMAL. :thumbsup
There is some store have their staff wear it but is not mandatory for the client anywhere anymore.

In Calgary AB, and the stampede it's completely another story! Example: if you want to access the Nashville Pub you need to prove of one shot of vaccine or get a test on the spot. etc.

Dmcontent 07-09-2021 02:37 AM

We must use mask all the time when outside in public places, except on the beach.

Denmark: Masks in public transportation when you stand up (because everyone knows virus only transmits when you stand up in the metro) and at test centers.

ruff 07-09-2021 02:10 PM

I will continue to wear a mask until the anti-vaxxers are dead and that shouldn't be too long now since the only people dying around me are them. Even though we don't have to wear masks if we're vaccinated, nearly everyone still does. It's finally come down to the nitty-gritty. Do or die.

The rules are if you are fully vaccinated you don't need masks except for public transport, government buildings, doctors/hospitals.

If you are not fully vaccinated you need to wear a mask; kids included.

It's on the honor system though.

2MuchMark 07-09-2021 07:51 PM

Here in Montreal they are relaxing the rules more and more. You can now have friends over in your house without masks, as long as everyone is fully vaccinated.

The bars and restaurants just opened about a month ago and were allowed to fill to 25% capacity, and you could remove your mask if you were sitting down. Now resaurants are at 50% capacity and on Monday they go up to 75%. Bars can stay open until 3am again as of Monday too.

While the masks rules are relaxing, friends I went out to dinner with said they plan to wear their masks all the time when in stores or other public places, so I think they are here to stay.

newB 07-10-2021 06:30 AM

Where I live, there was always a significant portion who would not wear masks. It was always the "masks don't protect you from the virus" argument, despite the very well-documented reasoning of the masks being worn to protect others in case the wearer is contagious.

Now the state says if you're vaccinated you don't have to wear a mask, but if you have not been vaccinated, then you should - though some businesses or local governance can still have their own requirement.

Well, now the anti-vaxxers/maskers aren't so anti-mask, and are crying that all the vaccinated people going without masks are spreading the delta-variant.

So, get this: The same people who cried about their "free-dumbs" being impinged when asked to wear a mask or get vaccinated - though they did neither - now want mandates for those who have been vaccinated to continue to wear masks. Seriously.

it´s pretty covid clear here on the Orihuela coast and has been again for months, however, masks worn at all times and we care lots, beaches are used but not packed and people stay a safe distance, always using hand wash and cleaners...

we feel safe, but now with the holidays starting again, who knows for the next few months.

Germany is mask country. Totally. The typical German is the epitome of the mask-wearing, subservient idiot citizen. They worship the mask. If they could, they'd put on three masks at the same time, layered.
Some actually do, believe you me.. Its hilarious!

What’s even funnier is that our covid numbers are way down and life is mostly back to normal.

This thread is great learning about international mask rules

Mask Rules where I live are simple.. everyone can enter public places without or with masks on but some places even make doggies where masks. The signs on all the stores and restaurants say: Where a mask if you are not vaccinated!

"Freedom day" that's what the government labelled it, is tomorrow in England. We in Scotland still have weeks to wait for that so called date, but regardless i expect it to be an epic failure.

As for mask use aye it's getting a bit too, umm what's the word.....put it this way there's gonna be a few battles anyway with the "for and against". Already these past couple weeks i'm seeing people be much more vocal than they ever have been on the subject.

Like i says already i just want to ditch the things, going into a restaurant or shopping mall or wherever with a mask on now just puts me off completely. Rather sit out the back garden with a few beers than that shit now...

Mexico was the best place i could go to during Corona. Not only Corona is founded here, the beer, things are as normal as can be. Only wore mouthmask in supermarket and taxi. Could always sit outside at restaurants and bars and gym opened up at the beaches when needed. And young people where always be able to find some party somewhere. No need for a test or vaccine entering the country and the country never closed as one of the only countries in the world. Thanks Mexico!

Now looking over Banderas Bay for the next months. Many people from Canada and England locked up in their countries, so it is relaxed here.

SpeedoDave 07-18-2021 08:02 PM

G'day guys,

Here in Aussie we current have compulsory masks in all indoor spaces but the list of exemptions include if you have "suffered trauma". All you have to do is say you have a medical exemption and you are not allowed to be asked for proof.

Twice I've been hassled and we called the local police station and they told the shop owner that it is against the law not to serve me but otherwise people don't bother me.

Today there was only one other person and me not wearing a mask.

I don't understand why people don't read the rules, maybe some people like wearing masks?

Dave

I've seen people out at parks with literally nobody anywhere near them out in the heat, yet you still see them masked up.

Think some people are going to wear them for life by looks of it. Ah well up to them.

I still see people driving around solo with a mask on. I'd bet anything they're vaccinated too.

The death rate among anti-vaxxers is increasing every day. I'll continue to wear my mask as it shouldn't be too long until they're all dead. If you just wait, a solution nearly always presents itself. Have luck.
