Been having trouble falling asleep, I've started listening to this affirmations channel

Podcasts and audiobooks trigger my curiosity so often that I have to Google something and stay awake for longer, so these are a great alternative. They've been working pretty well so far. The background music and voice is very calming.

I am an Adonis. I am sheer, solar perfection.

I listen to a recording I made myself, that says 'I WILL shit the bed, I WILL shit the bed, I WILL shit the bed'... Over and over again...

I DO find it helpful... :2 cents:

I've been addicted to YouTube for a couple years while now. My daily screen time on mobile is ridiculous because of YT (some days 12+ hours :helpme). There is endless great content on there (for free) and their recommendation engine is scary good now. I can go months without turning on the cable TV as I can't stand the 1/3 commercial time and lack of educational/good shows.

I was addicted to Reddit before YT, but Reddit has gone to shit. Here's a video on that :)

dunno what's wrong with me. I can do things easily that other peeps find difficult. can build successful businesses and solve quadratic equations in my sleep, assuming I got any. but eating and sleeping (those supposedly basic human functions) I struggle with. have for as far back as I can recall

gracias for the link, it was actually helpful. hope you're well-rested today =)

If you are on the computer late before bed, get some blue-blocker glasses, those will help. Google military sleep tricks that put you to sleep in two minutes. Try CBD oil to help relax right as you go to bed.
Finally, a warm cup of milk will send you straight to dreamland. Do not do all of these suggestions at once though, you might not ever wake up.

Everyone's different when it comes to voices, I suppose. For some reason, I find it difficult to listen to female voices in audio books. Many people recommend Stephen Fry or David Attenborough readings. I really think there is a market for professional voice actors to read any and every type of content, or perhaps AI would make that more efficient.

Breathing in deeply and exhaling slowly helps calm my mind sometimes. I need to delve further into Wim Hof's content.

Allow me to recommend a channel. Not sure if you're into this stuff, but I think it's one of the coolest channels I've encountered.

Come up with a custom list of affirmations specific to your needs, wants and goals. Either record your own voice, or visit Fiverr, find a voice artist that is pleasant to your ears, and hire them to record the affirmations. It won't cost you much.

Yeah, rain or waves crashing on a beach are relaxing. This video is titled ocean sounds but, is overlayed with relaxing synthetic sounds.

Glad it helped someone! These days the world seems so full of hate, pain and stress I'm truly pleased to help ease the mind of others. Since you mentioned "resetting the mind", I just tried these techniques and they eased some anxiety I had. I feel like I just got a massage.

I've heard of this before. I think I'll try recording one myself and pray nobody ever finds and listens to it.

When was your last visit to the Chiropractor?

money biz 09-10-2021 05:30 PM

In your thread about ritalin I was going to tell you how bad it messes up you sleep. Even months off it. Maybe that has some thing to do with it.

I find this sort of thing oddly relaxing to go to sleep to. No talking, but you just hear the screwdriver and liquids and stuff like that. As if there's something going on somewhere, but nothing that needs you to be worried about it. Kinda like that ASMR thing I suppose, but without the headphones...
