So East LA is now waterfront property?
I know I should've invested in the hood years ago.

Waves seen from 1-2 feet. Sounds like Daytona Beach surf.

NatalieK 01-15-2022 05:22 PM

If rip tide is more possible then nobody should surf or swim at the beach.
It's a good warning to tie your boat down at the marina.

:2 cents:

I don't know if it's all about wave height with a tsunami.
A regular wave has a small length and width compared to a tsunami.
The total volume of water moving toward the shore is more important.
The tsunami is moving much faster and with more force than a regular wave.

A tsunami is a SHOCK WAVE! It's not just water.

The height don't matter when water is moving like this :

exactly this...

a wave is usually just a wave, a tsunami brings a tide with the wave, so it continues to flow in and anything beyond the beach can be drenched in water, water damage to buildings can be tragic :2 cents:

I'm going to guess that was from a hurricane

They had helicopters at the beach yesterday morning telling people to get out of the water
