Why would anyone be mad at NFTs?

I've been learning solidity lately and it turns out NFTs are useful for much, much more than monkey pictures

Positions in uniswap liquidity pools are represented as NFTs

its also possible to represent a crypto loan as an NFT and then bundle them up into something resembling a mortgage backed security and borrow/lend with it, just like what banks do
