Soft, medium or hard matress ?
 

I am browsing local stores for new mattress and noticed in one how they wrote details about each mattress including those types . Which kind would be best for sleeping quality and also to get my self to stay in horizontal position instead rolling over all the time.

For sleeping quality, definitely not a soft one. I am sleeping on the hardest mattress I could find since I want to avoid sleeping on my stomach which was causing strain in the back etc etc...

I have the sleep number, and I love it. Sometimes I like it hard, but usually, I'm somewhere in the middle.

What I would do would be to search 'Helix Sleep' and take the quiz about your sleeping habits / positions etc - Then, from the results, go to a store and try lying on whatever type of mattress they recommend...

Not perfect, I know, but the quiz gives you a starting point - Even if you have zero intention of buying from Helix...

I like softer. Just bought a sleep number and it's cool watching the screen with the variable pressure from your shoulders and hips

I just bought 6 mattress's for the family - all of them bamboo fabric - but for myself I got a king - hard - but with additional coils in the middle to maintain it's shape over the years. One of the best investments I've made.

Depends on the condition of the back and the age of the body.

Soft mattresses are necessary for body weight up to 55 kg, diseases of the lumbar spine.

Medium-hard models are suitable for body weight 55-90 kg, problems with thoracic and cervical spine.

Stiff beds are good with body weight over 90 kg, osteochondrosis, problems with posture.

I am currently 95 kg, will it pass medium-soft ?

I stayed at the Four Seasons in Costa Rica and liked the bed so much that we bought their brand when we came back home. Have never regretted it.

i lik 2 fink in the next pic, that they all poo'd the bed :thumbsup

Technically that's simply 2 beds pushed together - not very comfortable but then again you're not buying it for durability

Similar experience. I stayed at a lux AirBnB and bought a Tempurpedic. I never used to sleep on my back, but oddly do somewhat often since getting it. For folks who are shopping, I recommend going in-person and seeing how lying on a specific mattress feels and compare.

I've just ordered this one - Pic taken in store - Lots of layers for my poo to soak through and get stuck in... :2 cents:

Arrives in early January. I did have a tempurpedic, but it didn't absorb the poo, so my nurses could wipe it off easily - Less than ideal. So now I'll get to keep it longer :upsidedow
