Are you burning out?

Everyone has moments of total apathy and unwillingness to do anything. Sooner or later. How do you deal with it? Do you give something up and look for something new, or do you go with the flow, waiting it out?

When your income starts being affected you will find new motivation. :)

Have luck!

I became a scientist after burning out on this, best decision ever. It's a good feeling to work then go home and not have to think about it at all until the next day.

i find self soiling to be extremely soothing. it relaxes and refreshes me, ready to face the wait before i can go again...

Some of us don't get the luxury of "burning out". I got bills to pay.

I find tremendous relief in martial arts, in my case Judo. There is nothing like guys trying to murder you with the earth to focus the mind and recalibrate things :D

It's difficult to get burnt out when you are on a mission. A strong enough mission that you truly believe in will fuel your mind, body and soul through just about anything.

When you find yourself losing energy and "burnt out," take a good look at your mission, it's probably not big enough. No mission? Start there. :)

It doesn't have to be world changing, just something that resonates with you. Start with family, friends or even yourself.

Try to find social job, like hotel reception or bartendering, and when you have enough of it, then come back.

I rarely burn out - my clients are always great to talk too but if I feel a downward trend then I have a family that keeps me motivated and strong to keep moving forward for them. My wife can also sense when I am getting over worked and generally she takes over some duties around the house that I handle and tells me to relax and just play with the kids. Always makes me happier to laugh and play to get a sense of purpose back

I used to think days off were for the weak.

Pick a day of the week where you relax and a day where you take care of life stuff.

Doing this made me feel less burned out and makes me accomplish my work with a fresher brain.

When I occasionally skip my days off, now I feel like I got bonus time, instead of like same old same old.

It happens. What I do is stop what I am working on and do something else for a while. Go jogging, biking, swimming. Go out with friends, go downtown, go shopping, or even just a drive. Just get away from work for a short time can really help, especially if you excersize.

If doing things like in the short term doesn't help, then -

If you aren't enjoying what you are doing, or if its not profitable, or if you think there is just no point, then you have to throw in the towel and give it up. This can be really hard to do especially if you have spent months or years on the project. It is much harder if at one time the project was successful and profitable, but no longer is. Sometimes you just have to say fuck it. Sell it or shut it down, whatever it takes, then move on to your next project.

Do what makes you HAPPY.

Both my partner & I always take time to ourselves. We work hard, play hard & party hard!

work work work & enjoy every moment, when it gets hard or "burning out", as you put it, take some time to relax, whether a beer in a bar or chilling out down a river, the beach, in a field, somewhere peaceful & collect yourself...

then, when returning to your work, positive, think how you´ll do the job & get into it, your work flows & your product sells :thumbsup

I personally disagree...

you could stay in a job all your life or swap and change, or take breaks in other jobs, like you´re suggesting...

personally, when you´re in the job you want to be, put your heart into a job all your life, like a relationship, you work hard and see the returns.

Sometimes life´s difficult, whether money or distractions. But the job is your life, make it work, if you think it´s not worth it, then choose a different job. But then, no point coming back. You wouldn´t want to buy a car back after you´ve sold it, plenty of new ones to buy.

Although, I must add, for me, it´s a little different to just working on a tube or blog, i´ve shot so many vids, all my own collection & spent so much time filming with other people, it´s more personal to my partner & I. Hence the mention of relationship, we´re both in this forever.

Many other models may agree with me, maybe producers too...

I just take time to myself, a few days on the beach, sunbathing, relaxing, away from the filming, I don´t do facebook and online social when i´m trying to chill. Other people would have a holiday and post pics on their facebook if they work in a garage or shop, retail.

The main point is if you want to do this business, get into it and take time to yourself when "burning out". Stay positive & interested in porn, sex, adult shit :thumbsup
