Business pursuits after porn?
 

Anyone here started with porn and ended up branching out into other businesses?

I've been in porn for about 3 years now and I've kinda reached a ceiling, wondering what others have done after their porn venture.

Lot of folks roll their free cash into real estate or stocks. While it's good to reinvest in a working machine, it's also a sound idea to take some cash off the table and invest in uncorrelated assets. Dalio is an intelligent man and I've done what he discussed in the video so he's right about the strategy. The only thing is I wish I had more investments.

I'm a scientist/lab technician now, and I'm about to move on up to doing my own experiments at a much fancier lab at the biggest university in the country.

It's been different, but I like it. :)

I started in porn eons ago and since then have branched out into mainstream programming, network management and network security. Love it.

i've slipped over to the mainstream side a few times in the last 20 years and i hate it. corporate people are all pieces of shit floating thru a river of corruption and greed.

this will be my next job if i have one:



of course my closest temple is a 3 minute walk. i'll just chant from my front porch...

I applied his concepts to my dividend portfolio last summer and did a complete restructure. 11 companies, 1 in each of the 11 sectors of the S&P.

I just finished my yearly rebalance. The rest of my portfolio was basically a wash this past year but my dividend portfolio did fine. About half were up and half were down but the ups plus dividends were strong enough to give me better returns than the rest.
