Probably a controversial take, but I like the design.

I don't like it... I wouldn't buy it even if it wasn't electric. But I can see it appealing to a certain crowd whose sense of vanity demands them to be perceived as "forward looking", if that makes sense.

They know their customer base well.

It looks absurd. I like it.

Musk needs to take another auto design course, but I would recommend turning over his design department to the Italians. They are the best in the world at making memorable automotive designs. Tesla auto's are a little ripe in looks these days, and this truck design has nowhere to go except down. He has a touch of the volkswagen mentality. Christ, in my city, you can spit and hit a Tesla.

5 years ago I bet these would be an easy sell. Today though this competes with the Ford F150 electric. That is a really hard truck to beat as far as sales go.
