I was with friends in the car, on the way to a metal concert, and heard Teen Spirit for the first time on the radio. Our first thoughts were "this changes everything," and everything on the radio after that sucked for almost 10 years.

The only real good thing about the 90s was the second half. The economy got better, the internet and the web started cranking up. BDSM was getting organized.

But culturally, the music, style and art of 80s were still better.

Um, Duran Duran was better than Pearl Jam? LOL

I'm weird. I love Alice in Chains, Green Day and similar hard rock like them, but I also don't mind Duran Duran. Saw them in concert last September. Fun! The only 90's band I never really liked was Red Hot Chili Peppers. Except for 1 or 2 songs, I never cared for them. Same for U2.

I am really happy to see that some of the 90's style has come back.
