Mailing ex-members and members?

For those involved in paysites, I get the benefit of mass mailing ex-members and trying to get them back but for current members, is there any benefit in mailing those current members?

Part of me thinks that sending info (to active members) about updates etc is good but part of me thinks theres many members that may have 'forgot' about paying a monthly fee each month and getting emails may remind them to cancel.

Thats sound a little bad I know but history tells me many members do forgot about things and we've had some members for 6+ years who havn't logged in for years.

you may lose 5% at most, but you'll gain more than 5% in retention. let the ones that want to cancel go, or you are just a card banger. and if you are just a card banger, you need about 200 more sites :1orglaugh

the ones who haven't signed in for years most likely don't have an active email in the biller anymore. your emails to them will bounce or go to spam.

who knows, one of your old members might renew their love for your site. if not, you have something to work on.

Definitely email former Members, preferably with discount offers to re-join.

But for current Members I would email them non-paysite (or other paysites) offers until they unsubscribe. Do not put your paysite on the mailings (the one they joined) but send them dating offers, cams, products, etc. Chances are they will just unsubscribe from the mailings rather than cancel and you may get some affiliate sales this way.

Have luck!:)

Totally agree that sending them non competing products can be great revenue generator! We have quite a few clients that make some great extra money sending our offers like Pornstar Coaching or Growth Matrix to their members. Anyone who's interested in giving it a try, hit me up and I'll give you a good payout bump to get you started! :pimp
