PornHub wanting documents for compliance

I have a few PornHub channels and have just received an email from them asking for information about who owns the sites. Once they have this info they'll ask for a lot more documents for compliance.

I assume they are sending this email to everyone who has a PornHub channel. I wondered if anyone had replied to them and know what sort of documents they will be asking for. Just because I can't be bothered to get back in touch with them. I wouldn't really mind if they deleted my channels.
But then again I wouldn't mind if they didn't delete my channels! I don't have a current passport or other ID like driving license or national ID which I have a feeling will be one of the things they will require. If they require some ID like that then I'll just let them delete my channels.

This is the email I've received:

Hello,

I hope you are doing well! As part of our efforts to continue to maintain the safest and compliant platform possible, we are reaching out to our existing partners to provide company documents to keep their accounts in good standing. We will be generating a secure link where you can upload these documents. We require the following information to do so please:

Account Holder’s Name
Account Holder’s Registered Company Name
Relevant Domain name(s)
Employee Name and Title (if person providing docs is not account holder)
Once this information is received, we will reply with the secure link and the list of required documents. This process is mandatory and failure to complete will result in account removal. We appreciate your partnership and cooperation in this matter.

I have a passport but it's just expired. I don't drive so don't have a driving licence. And I live in the UK so there is no national identity card I can get. I don't want to renew my passport as that's a lot of hassle and expensive and I have no plans to ever travel abroad again. I do have a latest gas bill though! And I'm going to query it tomorrow!

There is no ID in the UK? Is it a Banana Republic?

You go to your city hall to get a new one, stop being dumb.
That cost you $20.

How old are you??

Expect Pornhub ditching your account if you don´t provide these documents.

renewing a passport isn't that expensive. not sure of the duration of passport validity in the UK but in Canada you can get one that lasts 10 years

I'm shocked that anyone, in any nation, can operate in adult in any capacity without a valid photo ID

seriously, renew your passport. not cuz of PH but cuz you WILL encounter this issue again. just get it done

Identity cards have been scrapped in the UK:

https://www.gov.uk/identitycards

You can apply for a Citizen Card:

https://www.citizencard.com/

but that's really used just to prove your 18.

I never have a problem proving I'm over 18!

I don't know if PornHub will be wanting to see some ID like a passport but I'm assuming they will.

I actually don't care if they delete my accounts. It's there loss really. I don't make any money from them but probably
get a bit of traffic.

It's £82.50 but a lot of hassle for a lazy fucker like me. My last passport was valid for 10 years. I'll most likely have to renew it at some point. But I won't renew it just to keep my two PornHub channels. Can't be bothered to do that. But if I need a valid passport later on for something really important then I'll just have to comply and get it renewed.

Just do it. You never know when some big business deal might come along that will require you to travel to mainland europe or something. You'll potentially miss out on something big over 80 quid and 5 minutes to fill out and mail some stupid form.

I'm never going to travel abroad again. And if some big business deal came along they could always email me about it!

my mind is slightly blown

what if your business bank or processor does a review of your account? all do it from time to time, and not sure when you signed up for either but things have changed MASSIVELY over the past few years. it's not even about proving age, but anti-laundering regs too

operating a business, esp an adult one with no valid photo ID? madness

I've just won a free holiday to Italy! I will renew my passport tomorrow!

Only joking. But due to heavy peer pressure at this forum I've acquiesced and will start procedures, with immediate effect from tomorrow,
to renew my passport.

I think you might need a passport for ID to get a provisional license! It is cheaper to get a provisional license but I think a passport will be better for when I have to identify myself. So I'll just renew my current passport which recently expired. And there is always the possibility that I will win a holiday abroad. So having a passport will be useful then!

good for you :thumbsup

once you get it renewed, get it scanned and notarized. in the US at least you need a notarized copy to open a corp and/or a MID (not sure about all of them, but in my case it was a requirement)

if the UK doesn't yet, in the future they probs will. a LOT has changed in the past 10 years

hope it goes smoothly for you, and again, wise choice! you've saved yourself from a bunch of hassle down the road

It amazes me that basic identification like an ID or passport is too much for some people.

Why would anyone from outside of US setup a company in the US? It would make no sense, there are so many better options to open a company outside of someone's country.

Thanks. It's going to be a huge effort but I'll get it done. It's best to get it done now so I'm always ready with the ID when it's asked for. Jeremy Paxum keeps asking me for a copy of a valid passport after mine recently expired. I can't withdraw any monies until I show him my new passport!

It's probably because PA=0000000 is a null account and ccbill links won't work without the corresponding partner account.

I believe that CCBILL made some changes recently and only a valid affiliate link will work. Previously the 0000000 would work. Or any random number you could think of like 2222111.

If you put your Downblouse Loving Cash affiliate ID it will work. Like this:

https://downblouselovingcash.com/gal...ccbill=2632190

2632190 is the affiliate link for one of our affiliates.

Yes, that's correct. But it did used to work. Previously you could put any random number in and it would work...I've just checked with CCBILL about it and they told me that they changed it awhile back so that you had to put a valid affiliate ID for it to work. I wished they'd told me. I don't know the reason why CCBILL have done that.

The only way to avoid getting that error is to put a valid Downblouse Loving Cash ID at the end. Like this one:

https://downblouselovingcash.com/gal...ccbill=2632190

So 2632190 is one of our affiliates. If you put 2632192 in you'll get that error because 2632192 isn't one of our affiliates.

So awhile back CCBILL changed things so that you would get an error if you didn't put a valid affiliate code in the link. I don't know why they did this. Would be interested to find out why.

It will work for everyone in that it will take you to the gallery page and the sample will play. But if you then click on any link on the gallery it won't take you to the homepage of Downblouse Loving. Instead you'll get an error. It will only take you to the homepage of Downblouse Loving if you add an active affiliate ID for Downblouse Loving Cash. Like this one:

easier for me to open a corp in Delaware than Cyprus or some such. maybe not right for eveyone, but worked best for me. I'm not American and have never lived there but I wanted a corp that would play nicely with US banks, which I needed for both accepting and sending payments

I wasn't suggesting the OP open a US corp, just that US bank rules tend to flow outwards. so just do it all at once, get the passport, go to a JotP, have them scan it/stamp it

getting a notarized scan would be handy to have if the need arises. might as well do it all at once and then boom! done

@Marlowe, will not be that huge a hassle. if I can renew my Canadian passport from the embassy in Jamaica you'll have it easy being a Brit in the UK. good luck and get it done

PS I saw the Sheffield address on your DownBlouse site. did you ever read the Adrian Mole series? they're so good, the first two especially. that part of the country might get a few mentions

That's just a temporary thing. We're having to stop new members joining whilst we remove all the dance videos. Posted about that in another thread. We've let all the current members know that they need to finish off downloading the dance videos before they are removed. If we were getting new members every day we'd never have the chance to remove the dance videos.

I suppose it's not much of a hassle but it's just a big chore that I'd rather not do. But it should be straightforward to do and it's something I'm definitely going to do. There's no way really of avoiding it.... I didn't read any of the Adrian Mole books but I do remember watching the TV series in the 80's. It was very good. Julie Walters played his mother and Beryl Reid played his grandmother. Can watch some of the tv series on YouTube:

that's so cool, gracias! passed the link on to my mom too, we're both huge fans of the books and used to have a rule that if we were in the car together we were not to talk about them cuz she almost ran us off the road once when we were in gales over green lurex aprons and bath cubes. I've never seen the series, looking forward to watching these

the books are SO good, right brilliant as you Brits would say, def worth checking out

good luck with your passport
