The problem here is the word despicable. I mean that's subjective. What one person see's is a sick fuck creating AI art another would see it as amazing and erotic.

Case in point - CurrantlySober creates a AI likeness of Ariana Grande getting a dirty Sanchez - now he thinks it's art - while others seeing that may consider it despicable

Making deep fake porn of my neighbor is just a stupid thing to do and that's why
deep fake attacks are on people who don't know the faker.

Deep fakes can have malicious intent, and people need to be protected from that.

AI needs to be banned altogether. Nothing good will come of it. It will be all fun and games with generative AI for a couple of years until everyone wakes up unemployed and the AI tools have nothing to do anymore. After playing with making music on Suno.com for a few hours I got in my car, started listening to the radio and began wondering if the stupid lyrics in song nowadays are AI generated already. I showed Suno to my brother in law who makes hiphop, he said it basically took away all motivation from his hobby because even if he hand makes something awesome no one will believe it's not AI.

Like how when the first books were printed there were calls to ban them?
Like how our elders wanted MTV and rock music banned?
Like how there was a campaign to ban the Grand Theft Auto game?
Like how social media should be banned? Grindr? Pornography? (cough..)

AI is nothing but a tool. How you use it, that’s the key.

It's crazy what can be done with Suno. My daughter writes music and she spent some time creating different styles for her lyrics. It created a hit song exactly how she wanted it to sound in just a few hours of using it. It's a pretty powerful tool!
