Pack of burgers where you live?

Hey there...

How much is an 8-pack of beef burgers where you live?

Here in Canada, in my local grocery store, an 8-pack of "sirloin" or "prime rib" burgers is normally $27 for 8 patties. $5 for 8 buns.

I got two packs on sale for $11 each yesterday... sa-weet!!!

CurrentlySober 05-01-2024 12:48 PM

Free.

I just steal them :2 cents:

Bro...

Do me a favor. Stand up quick, turn around fast and take a swift sniff of that computer chair you been sitting on.

You smell that? That's what it smells like when it's time to get up, take a shower and apply for jobs. Read that damn book I told you about while you wait for them to call you back. You promised.

The woman we helped move today said her cost for moving has over doubled since 2019 when she moved last!

Woooww... so even after the exchange...

Canada = 8 pack of prime rib or sirloin beef burgers $25
USA $12-13 x 1.30 = $18 after exchange, but you're getting 50% more burger... soooo, it is more like:

24 burgs in Canada = $75 cad
24 burgs in USA = $36 cad

machinegunkelly 05-02-2024 01:47 PM

Please tell me where you're finding $5 buns hahahah

Must be "great value" or similar..

Dempster or any decent bun is around $7-8 here.

I saw a 19.99 fucking water melon the other day :1orglaugh

Get out while you can.

Wow. Is that some kind of carbon tax for meat? Have they started selling bugs?

Depends where I go. I live in an exceptionally awesome area with a seemingly unlimited amount of options.

I can't remember the last time I bought burger buns or how much it cost. Doesn't cost enough to be a concern. I'm not about to go around stores to look at burger buns prices, it's hot outside. So I'll load up my shopping apps and see what we got around here:

-Aldi has a 4 pack for $1.39, so 8 would be $2.78

-Walmart got a 8 pack for $1.46

-Dollar Tree got a 8 pack for $1.25

-The Amish farm folks got a 16 pack for $4.49

That's enough for me. I probably would have went to Walmart for their 8 pack and left with everything but the buns I went for. I'm one of those guys.

King Mark is vegan. Not one of them snobby ones that has to talk about it all the time, but it's relevant here. I don't eat burgers. Not even them fake shits.

The city/town I live in has a farmers market on Saturdays/Sundays so I usually go down there to get whatever I need at a great price.

that being said - where are you buying them from??

even if you went to Walmart still cheaper

I honestly don't usually look at the price, but I'm going to have to because I've heard several people complaining - one being my sister, who was so appalled she had to text me to ask why beef was so high. I haven't talked to her since January lol

I hear eggs are up again as well.

The craziest thing is that there are actually a growing number of people who have full-time, low-paying jobs that are actually homeless and live part-time in their cars and sleep in shelters when it gets too cold to sleep in their cars...

I don't use the food bank myself, but I've driven by it on pickup day and the lineup is like 2 blocks long... bread lines are coming!
