Do those Quiz Page, Dating Landers Work?

I was looking through what traffic buyers use for dating landers on the big tubes and almost all of them seem to get the surfer to click through a series of questions/pages before asking for sign-up info like email etc.

I personally find that annoying as I like to get as much info as I can asap, on any website I land on, but it doesn't matter what I like, what matters is what converts.

What's your take on those types of pages?

And what landers do you think convert best?

I have found that showing sexy profile thumbs get the surfers attention quick, and when they click they go straight to the program's sign-up page. I tend to get better conversions that way but I'm always looking to improve.

Questions beat direct links or quick thumb clicks in most of my tests. Lower CTR but higher registrations.

We build lots of question/animated landers. It's best to test several different designs with different wording, animated graphics and colors. Look at what the big companies are doing with current promotions and their landers and you'll get an idea of what converts.

One reason is in sales once the customer says no, it's all over. Its hard to rebound from a solid No. If you can keep the person saying yes, your chances of them joining are much higher.

A caveat is that it does depend on traffic channel and how qualified the click was to begin with.

These landers that they are talking about, it doesn't matter what your answer is. You can repeatedly click no, no, no, no and you still end up on a registration page :1orglaugh:1orglaugh

I laugh because it's the same kind of shit I would do.

I hate this style lander, but it obviously works if they're on every tube site. The questions themselves are meaningless, you end up on the same registration page with whatever you answer.
