I rarely use Skype any more.... But it seems M$ announced they are closing it in May.

Thanks sucks. Living abroad the US number was nice and since we have had it for 10+ years that is not a fun thing to track down. It would have been nice if they gave you more than 2-3 months

• Telegram is full or porn and spammer groups.
• There's whatsapp but only recording video/audio, no streaming.
• There's always Google teams, they give you a permanent meeting link.

We're moving over to Telegram and it seems most partners support this - or even they suggested to use it after Skype.

You say it's full of spammers and porn: I think you need to tweak your setup. It can be quiet and useful, if you set it the right way.

What do you mean with streaming? You can do video calls on whatsapp, just like on skype.

I used Teams a few years ago, and I remember it looking old school, and it didn't have all the useful features apps today have. Of course, things change, and I hope they've improved. Our team will definitely test Teams, even though we've been using Telegram for years now and it is okay.

Personally I am keeping my options open until things settle down but by the looks of it clients etc. are gong with

im having a hard time transfering over to Teams since I had a few skype names before that and it's not finding my current one nor transfering anything.

also do we want to trust microsoft again who can at any time start charging money or more

I'm a diehard Skype user, so this really upsets me. That being said, I'm consulting with and recommending all of my clients move to individual Slack or Discord servers, or, if they want a more controlled experience, self-hosting Jitsi meet, to manage business discussion.

After that, handling individual personal conversations will need to be done through Teams, Telegram, Whatsapp (possibly, we'll see.)

If Signal allows the encryption mechanism to work on more than one phone and a single linked Desktop by May, that will be my personal preference.

anyway, yes, it´s closing & most people are moving over to Teams, Telegram or Discord.


Most models like myself & 1000s of others have followed skyprivate & are moving to TG & Discord...

there´s chatrooms there for models & members, personally, the TG room & TG way is probably the way i´m going to see more cam work happening & already I use TG, so this works well for me.

The teams doesn´t seem to be much use & we´re not looking to go that direction. Discord is going to get a nice rise from this situation I believe, when coming to adult cams & the porn business :2 cents:

Yes, you can video call on whats app.. tbh, that´s where most of my paid private calls actually converse. Most people have whats app these days & at least is pretty secure & never any drop out :thumbsup

I used it when I was a kid. Good memories. Honestly, I thought it was long dead.

Telegram, or Signal...I won't use Teams because they decided to shut down Skype, which frustrates me.

I want to migrate to team because MS said it would be possible. I have tried to sync my contacts, it doesn't work. Anyone else migrated from Skype to Teams by sync?

I heard it takes a few days or sometimes a week for sync :2 cents:

I logged into Teams with Skype account details but chats from Skype didn't appear in Teams. The info from MS says the transfer should be automatic but I haven't found it to be the case?
