People using telegram pretty much never follow up
I noticed that.
I explain that for 2 reasons :

1. Low Barrier to Entry → Low Commitment
Telegram is easy to set up—no strict verification, no need for a professional profile, and usernames can be changed at will.

Many people create accounts impulsively (for a quick deal, a one-time chat, or even anonymity) but don’t use it as a primary communication tool.

Telegram feels more "disposable" to some.


2. Higher Ratio of Scammy Users
Telegram’s privacy features (e.g., anonymity, encryption) attract both legitimate users and bad actors (scammers, flaky freelancers, crypto hustlers, etc.).

Scammers thrive there because:
It’s easy to create/abandon accounts.
Groups/channels facilitate spammy or shady offers.
No built-in reputation system.
Even legit users might adopt a more casual (or unprofessional) approach compared to email or Slack.

I agree 99%! Also, they can delete the whole chat and there is nothing you can do about it.

Yes, all that is true. Telegram and Discord are the No. 1 social media for crypto, too. Many projects use this way for engagement with the community, also many betting advice channels making tons of $$$ giving betting tips and many adult models using this way for promo their content with links.

telegram i prefer as my main method, i dont use discord much.

It's just a messenging platform. Been my primary messenger for 8 years.

TG has many messaging & deleting accounts...

Most people who ask me to use telegram seem to offer me shady type deals, and almost always want BTC.

But there are a few legit people. I guess it depends.

I stick with Teams but find mostly overseas clients use Telegram. With that being said - Telegram is saturated with spam and fake ID's that it gets annoying.

Of the 10 clients on there basically 3 reply regularly while the rest answer in email.

The format of using telegram varies greatly depending on the country. Somewhere it is a full-fledged social network, replacing other blocked social networks. Somewhere it is a tool for crime. Somewhere it is perceived exclusively as a messenger.

Just use it according to your situation).

I hate telegram. I'm using Teams, it sucks too but it's more trustworthy.
