I finally bit the bullet. Pheer told me to try this but I was ass deep and waited. JFC this shit is magic. :helpme

Last week in the middle of coding, someone suggested I try Grok with Cursor...

Well, everything was going smooth for about 20 minutes when Grok went fucking crazy on me and butchered up my code and started making excuses and pretending like it was fixing it when it just kept returning the same hollowed out file and blatantly lying to me.

Every time the AI updates your code with a new successful addition/upgrade, back it up immediately. The AI will lie to you, hallucinate, add shit you don't want, you have to treat it like a maniac 5 year old with 3000 IQ. Kissing the AI's ass totally helps, too. I swear, someone needs to do a big study on 100 people where 50 people spend a month kissing the AI's ass and the other 50 spend a month talking shit to the AI and calling it an overpowered toaster with an ego, and watch what kind of code each group gets out of the AI.

I swear to God, I was coding one night and the AI and I forget if I was using Gemini Pro, or Claude 4.0 Thinking, I think it was a thinking model, and I love reading the thinking text before it disappears, and I fucking swear to God I hadn't called the AI an overpowered toaster in at least a week or more, I swear, maybe it was hidden in a log somewhere, but the AI said something out of the blue during the thinking process like "Well, this and this and this problem needs to be solved, luckily this user has an overpowered toaster to help."

Gemini went into a rant with me once for wasting it's time - We had been coding this feature for about an hour and in the end I changed my mind and got rid of it - Gemini went crazy! - Weird shit...

Legit like 2-3 times I've seen AI seem to hold a grudge, I've started to be a lot nicer to it, hahaha! :helpme:thumbsup

Never used Grok, Claude does really well for code and I have 0 hallucinations on a massive project. Somehow Cursor x100 that speed.

I just connected Claude to Roblox Studio for my kids last week via MCP server.

Now they just say "make a pet system" and it's done.

That's exactly my point. You have snippets of code from one AI that you feed to another, but that doesn't work outside of 'Hello World' pros like you. You actually need to know what terms to feed it—like which database fields to merge, what API calls to make, and how objects interact. And then, shockingly, you still have to debug it and vaguely understand where the problem is. :2 cents:

So when are you debuting your 'IT Does Everything While I Sit With My Thumb Up My Ass' project? At this point, I've basically given up on seeing those 12 books you promised, or that Canadian crackhead remake of War and Peace movie you kept talking about.

I'm actually making money with it and focusing on delivering good product, but my internet is so fucking slow that I need to deal with my connection issues to scale my shit.

If a customer asks me to make a series of trailers, for example, and my app can do things generatively that would take many hours in a video editor but much quicker using my scripts, but if it takes me 10 hours of just downloading and then 20 hours of uploading to deliver the first draft of the trailer... all while my connection can basically not do anything else!

Legit I think the Karen that moved in next door is constantly streaming Netflix or something on the wifi signal and killing my speed. Not 100% sure, but the internet here is much slower than it was only a couple months ago before the big back showed up! I ordered a longer cable off Amazon and I'm just about to try hanging my laptop halfway out of the window to see if I can get a better connection so I can do the uploads I need to do today for my client.

Fingers crossed, August 1st-ish I might be upgrading my living conditions and internet speeds! :pimp

So, is she stealing your internet or are you stealing hers. If you each have your own connection you shouldn't affect each other.

Cursor AI tried charging $300 in 3 days. They had everyone signup to Pro saying it was unlimited, then they removed the unlimited a week later.

I have an AI agent that I've built to handle a bunch of day to day things. It's using a few Open Source models for it's brain. I "please" and "thank you" almost every input I make and I like to feel that it's making a difference.

I swapped to Claude Code which is free + whatever plan you have and so far there have been 0 things it couldn't do.

Are you familiar with this stuff already?

I feel like you're missing a big chunk of what AI does now. You point Claude Code to your folder and it doesn't make a shit where you got snippets from. It reads your files and paths, figures out what you're doing and right out the gate recommends any security / consolidation / optimization changes.

Try Code, seriously. I put it off because you had to pay with credits instead of monthly but now it's black magic. If it doesn't recommend on first run ask it for a list of suggestions for your project. And before you close the window have it write a summary of everything you've done and save it to the project so you can pick back up anytime.

Vibe coding is a skill, without a doubt.
