for sure that's been becoming more of a thing for a while now, which begs the questions of whether peeps who block AI crawlers from their websites aren't actually shooting themselves in the foot when it comes to appearing in 'new' search

for wp alone there are a ton of plugins that have an option like that for at least some AI crawlers built in. I think with the rationale that doing so would help combat plagiarism

before I installed a browser extension to block those AI overviews from appearing in search queries (nothing against AI, just a massive waste of water/resources) I saw that the overviews were grabbed from websites, and did include links to the sites

for basic queries probs most peeps would never actually click through to the 'source' websites, but still could be a factor for some click throughs at least

I realize AI overviews in browsers are different from the first screencap you posted re performing queries using an AI program, but still def something for site owners to consider in weighing pros and cons of what to block


the output in your second screencap was interesting, advising one to search on pornhub and 'oh, btw, would you like me to grab you some specific vid titles?'

Fast forward a year when you just tell your phone "I want a clean, amateur video of a threesome with 2 blonde women and 1 male. The women should be short and have big tits and at least one should do anal."

I already use AI for 100 things I used to search so I'd imagine this part will take off faster than most. Not the above search AI, just straight up talking to your phone and bypassing all of that.

My next project with my app is going to involve re-connecting it to the API (I had it working before but because it bugged out, it kept sending requests and I hit my max monthly usage so fast. Whoops! Definitely going to set a max requests per day up.)

This is because I've been watching on X how other people setup Cursor and prompts and all this shit... and I have an idea of how to give the AI memories and directives, so that our entire working relationship can evolve as the AI will have access to knowing what is making money, what isn't, my struggles, our combined resources, how I've made money before, giving it a better picture of the world and how money flows, and train my data-banked AI memories to work through the API to give me a 24/7 virtual assistant that will constantly work towards advancing our business ventures together.

Because I know I'm a fat old drunk, I need an AI trained to be a young go-getter asshole who needs to be rich to be happy! :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh:thumbsup

Next up for my app is reconnecting it to the API. It used to work, but a bug caused nonstop requests and blew through the monthly quota fast. This time it'll have a daily cap to avoid that mess.

Been watching people on X build with Cursor and chain prompts together in smart ways. Gave me an idea: create an assistant with memory and directives. Something that learns what makes money, what doesn't, tracks challenges, knows past successes, and understands how resources move.

With that kind of memory running through the API, it's not just a tool anymore. It's a 24/7 partner locked in on growing the business.

Basically, Bonzi Buddy on steroids.

Which AI are you using?

Claude projects is insanely good, I don't have to tell it anything about the overall purpose at this point.

Claude projects? What's that?

I use Claude in Cursor and I just open the folder and get the AI to read my project log and the AI knows what's up within a few minutes of re-scanning all my files.

What I'd like to do is get the app to code itself through the Cursor CLI... but I gotta move first so my internet actually works again. Half the fucking time I use Cursor lately I get timeouts and retry messages because my connection died. Get the keys to the new place today! :thumbsup

You can add your project overview, instructions and all files to a project on claude so that it knows your goals, etc in addition to what the code is doing.

Pretty much the reason the AI crawlers didn't find their way on to my IP deny list yet. Although, so far, i have not seen much of returning the favor.
