remove your media is taking down alot of my pages.


Description of claim: Copyrighted webtoons published by WEBTOON Entertainment Inc. Sites are back linking illegal webtoon scanlation sites. This is contributory infringement. Pursuant to 17 USC 512(c)(3)(A)(ii) the official website for 'Licensed Webtoon Comics' includes a commulative episode list at the below url:


I have blured images of screenshots of websites. Some are screenshots with no images. I see google and similar sites to mine are listed in google for that site no issues for them. I countered the takedown and got

I replied to that email but no response. Is there anything I can do with out suing.

Every lawyer in the industry says you have to sue for this to stop. What else are you looking for?

Was hoping i could some how stop it through google i never got a policy violation email. But dont think i will hear from them either. Looks like im fucked for now. Maybe ill have to contact Corey D. Silverstein and see what they say but Being a small site with what there taking down might not be worth it at the moment.

Are you actually linking to pirate sites or are the DMCA notices incorrect?

I am not an attorney, so this is not legal advice, but, if the DMCA notices are inaccurate, you should be able to counter them.

If they are accurate, then you are breaking the law and pointing out other people break the same law is not usually a successful defense.
