I never understand the step sis niche - why it is so popular? Maybe it's just me...

the trend lately has been to step away from vanilla porn and into more "dangerous" or taboo stuff which raises the thrill of excitement for users.

Obviously step is used to cover their asses since direct fucking your family is illegal - but putting step in it means your fucking someone thats not biologically yours.

With the crack down on porn these days its more difficult for google to return any inquiries it deems illegal or troubling such as "abuse" - so the slide goes to incest. Speaking to phone sex operators who are clients of mine the level of incest requested has risen as I am sure cams as well.

10-15 years ago the gay industry made the transition from more vanilla type sites, twinks, bears, hunks, etc into what (at the time) was considered ‘taboo’ by many - Cum eating, bareback, piss, fisting, pnp, gangbangs, etc.

It’s no different for us, now that sales to more generic niches, teens, mature, ethnic, trans, etc are slowing down, people are pushing the limits to see what they can get away with.

In a sense we’re driving the consumer demand by giving them the choices that we (content producers) think will sell.

The same it true with platforms like OF, while not specifically allowed, more and more ‘taboo’ style content is being referenced indirectly by many of the individuals, with it starting to get more and more direct, they’re using text and video content to see what the boundaries are on those platforms, in a hope to drive more subscribers to their channels.

I think many are not aware of laws and things like the Miller Test, which could ultimately end up like a Max Hardcore situation for many if they’re not careful on how they’re promoting the content.

Don't bother asking. I fucking ask this question all the time at conventions, to literally the people who create the scenes and they just laugh and go "I know right, what's with all this step stuff".
