tour length?
 

i was wondering if anyone had an opinion on tour length... lots of sites have 2 tour pages, lots have 3, ive even seen 4+. what do you think is best and why?

I like the long one page tours best. They have always converted the best for me.

I seem to have more success with the tgp style tours, the 1 pagers...2 pages tops.

But there something to be said for a formula. I'm sure if the cookie cutter 3-4 page tours didn't work people wouldn't be making them.

From a conversion point, each has done well for me in the past.

But I guess different traffic may like different length tours - hence we sell tours with 1,2,3,4 or even 5 pages.

We even did a 12 page tour once!

They can all convert.. though there is no definite answer as to which one can do best, they've all done well for me at different stages with different traffic sources

I know a guy with a nine page tour who converts 1:200 or so on nearly ALL traffic.

From our sites, nobody barely makes it to the second page of the tour. Splash page, and straight to join. Used to have 3-4 page tours. Pointless IMO.

This is the longest tour of anything I promote, but its laid out well so you can flip through it fast and it works.

it depends on how much content you are commiting to the tour and what kind of information you re trying to present. as long as you place a link to your join page on every page of the tour the traffic should be able to move through without issue? viewing as many pages of the tour as they want. :2 cents:
