Not to stomp on anyones grave, but.......

It is never a good thing for the industry when a processor goes down. But this once again points out why pay per sign up programs are where the big boys send traffic. Get your $ up front and run. There are just too many things that can go wrong long term, processors going tits up, companies going tits up, people finding god, etc. Partnership programs are much riskier.

I have always had good luck sending traffic to your sites and getting paid, but I dont think most people will agree that partnership programs are more risky when it comes to getting paid.

Sure, but that opens up its own can of issues as well.

Over the history of the adult net, I have seen partnership programs have more issues than legit PPS programs. Remember Busty Amateurs? People lost ALOT of money when Jeff found god.

I remember that like it was yesterday. haha....
Would suck to be living off a 1000 rebills, and lose them all because of a flaky biller, or a flaky company.
I'll bet a lot of globill affiliates are kicking themselves now.

pornguy 07-25-2003 03:47 PM

I must be really lost in the woods here... I never new that god or jesus were lost!

And now I find out that someone has already found them?? Was there a reward??

Biggy2 07-25-2003 05:37 PM

it could also mean go to a reputable company..

tell me, where do you process brad.

Epoch, Ibill, or CCbill - A sponsor on anything else I would NEVER EVER promote.

Noticed How I listed it in that order....

brad, youre not invincible to credit card processing either, but i think you are smart enough to choose a good processor :)

at least i hope so for your affiliates sake.

I am not invincible at all. I am into Epoch pretty heavy these days. If floor fell out, I would pay my affilates and move on, or retire.

Rick Latona 07-25-2003 06:33 PM

Depends. Most of the time you are probably right. Although, we haven't sent a signup to BangBus.com in a year and we still get 20,000 dollar checks in the mail. Back in the day we built a huge base of recurring subscribers and Ox Cash pays us every time without fail. :Graucho

We've gotten screwed a few times too though. :helpme

You win some and you lose some, I guess. We generally send to partner programs only those fantastic exclusive content sites that are highly likely to retain. Otherwise, you've got to send it to PPS. Overall, a mix is the best strategy IMHO.

CDSmith 07-25-2003 06:37 PM

Yup, still getting bangbus rebill cheques here too. Love it, love it, love it.

Rebills are god given.

I've always found that a good mix of per-click, per-signup and partnership is the best and most stable way to go. So my biggest decision for the summer is what to do with my asshair. Should I put it in cornrows? Or just tie up each cheek in pigtails? I shall sleep on it.

I have a friend that lives about 2 1/2 hours from me and informed me I was going to spend last Easter with him and his girl friend so I could go to Easter services with them. ( He had just found God ) told him no fucking way am i driving 5 hours round trip to pray to his God.:Graucho He got piss didn't call me for 4 days, usually calls ever day. The funny thing is when he went to join the church he had found God in, they wouldn't let him join because he was living in sin, with his girl friend.:1orglaugh This guy is a real close friend just love the hell out of him, going through another one of his stages. It will pass within 6 months.

GTS Mark 07-25-2003 06:41 PM

It's always good to have a mix of PPS and revshare. If my rebills went tits up it would hurt ALOT. But I would not be out of biz by along shot. I never keep all my eggs in one basket.

DH

P.S. Brad if you would get your account reps to approve my account I will start sending you some signups

Ahhh yes, the church is a demanding mistress.

I've fucked over by pay per sign up sponsors before. But I've never been fucked by a partnership sponsor.

imafuckingaussie 07-25-2003 07:08 PM

You guys, you know what happened to ox updating and shit, there doesnt appear to be any new updates on their paysites or affiliate site, wont be great for rebills if nothing new is added.
Anyone know whats up with them?

gothweb 07-25-2003 07:13 PM

Showing a negative point about revshare doesn't prove that PPS is better. It shows one point in the "con" column of one of the two major options.

It certainly looks to me like the thing that is wrong is with using a dodgy biller. Use someone stable, and you're all set.

What about Dollars4all? All Liquid? I'm sure there are others.

This business is just volatile any way you slice it, send your traffic to the place that makes you the most money.
PERIOD

Mishi 07-26-2003 12:17 AM

Generally speaking, I've made quite a bit more per sign-up on partnership programs than I have on PPS programs. I try to keep a good balance of both.

That extra $10 bucks comes in really handy some months.

AmeliaG 07-26-2003 12:41 AM

I totally agree that a mix of revshare and pps makes the most sense, that way I get the advantages of both spread out. I think it is good to promote an assortment of sites who use different billers because then you are never totally out when one goes has problems. I'm smiling about that strategy today. :)

Most importantly, juicy and stevecore should consider laser for pubic hair removal. Then you won't get nearly the sort of stubble shaving produces. Works best with fair skin and dark hair. :thumbsup
