Noga Went Fishing Sunday
You all are lucky I am now in good mood since I was taken out on a boat for an inshore fishing day on Sunday with 3 other men.
Your wondering what freaking big deal is? My boat has been broke for 2 months [engine gears] and was in withdrawals. Good news, is the weather was great. Bad news, is I outfished the men in their boat and in their hot spots. Ahhh, how good it feels to compete. Caught a pair of black drums and a pair of mangrove snappers. The drums were 19.5 inches and 16 inches. Ok, let me :321GFY http://www.leenoga.com/pix/drum.jpg |

I caught a 4-5lb largemouth bass Saturday night.
|
Brad, you need to show a pic? I thought you were not fishing because it was to hot? Did ya catch the bass on a lure or live bait?
Details please, I always ask people because thats how I learn granted I do not freshwater fish but there is a bass camp one hour away from me and one day I might go out bass fishing. |
who's the dude holding the fish?

It was on a private lake, couple hours south of Dallas. After we could not make it to lee's wedding, we drove down to a lodge about 2 hours from Dallas. Caught it on a large spinner bait in about 6 feet of water. Only camera I had with me was a disposable one, so no pics yet. Left the digital at home by accident.

Nice catch, Lee!
You seem to have a lot of fish in your life. What do you do with 'em? Grill, broil or sushi? ... or do you stuff them and hang them on the wall?! :1orglaugh |

Great seeing you around! Liked your pic with the ePassporte ad in AVN, looked awesome. Brad, that was one great bass on a spinner in unknown waters, did you and Shawcutie take it home or release it? NO fishing behind your house yet? Surely there are fish to be had at 5AM in the morning :-) |
I release all fish. Cutie gave up, it was too hot so I took her back to the lodge. I was solo when I caught it.

Tonight we are having a shrimp fry from the last of the shrimp we caught before the shrimping season ended, we do the fried as well as platters of coconut shrimp, scampi etc....shrimp cooked a bazillion ways. Fish is supposed to be so healthy eating but it has to have that fry thing going on :-) Who would have thought I would love this sport so much. |
black drums = Death
Deadly fish :321GFY |
KMR what are you :321GFY talking about?

mangrove snapper is good eats... i went fishing off the peer about a week ago... didn't catch jack shit though... try this out with fish... dip it in honey then roll it in your favorate nuts... i.e. cashews, put in a baking pan and shave off butter all over your fish and bake for about 15 min.... i call it booty crusted fish....:Graucho
very good... |
Rocki! That sounds delicious.
This upwelling of Atlantic cold water has brought in some 5-7 pound Mangroves inshore! The pair I caught were 1 pounders but we had 4 of them to fry up and they are so good too. I love redfish, snook and black drums the best for inshore species. One day I hope to have a boat where I can go offshore 25-30 miles and do some deepsea fishing. I was so pleased to learn of some new spots so when I get my waterski boat back in I can putt over to the drum holes. Folks can be so secretive when it comes to fishing hot spots, and for some reason I always tell folks where to go. I am gonna buy a GPS next month, seems the anglers have made this a science for locations and coordinates. I wish I knew why I love fishing so much but thank God I am divorced and single or this would have never happend. If I had to choose between a relationship and fishing, "I would miss her" :-) I am suprised so many folks went fishing at Internext, that was great they took advantage of this chance. Your living in fishing heaven in S. Florida!!!!!!!!!! |
Nice catch :glugglug

Lee,
Let's go fishing one day. I'm right on the Indian River a couple of miles from Ponce Inlet. Also pretty close to Mosquito Lagoon. My flats skiff is ready to roll :-). Cheers, BV |
BV!!!!!
You go thru SLippery Creek and the flats, that would be awesome. We launch from New Symrna and head South, and learned some real nice drum holes! How are things at RB? You shrimp there too. My email is [email protected], we should hook up and so spankl some fish around! |
