Hey, Im being charged 5.00 a month extra for each room i have a reciever.. is there a way around that so that i dont have to pay the 5.00 per box. I have a bunch of rooms with tvs. Its costing me an extra 25.00 a month just for extra fucking tvs in my house..

Yet I go to the gym and it seems like they are all shareing one signal or some shit..

I mean what in the fuck.

What extras do you have that are making it so expensive other than the extra receivers? Sports packages and shit will do that. Hell the premium package is only like $85.

I love it, but man it adds up.. Not much ya can do about that.

But the fucking 25.00 a month extra they charge me for having a box on my other tvs (5 extra TV's at 5/00 each they charge) in the house is fucking crazy..

a got cable(all pre. channels)plus interent access about 125 month..and that's with 2 extra rooms

my parents have it at their house, i think they only pay about $60 a month. i dont watch tv so i dont have it.

All the movie channels plus the NFL package.

Not like they would reduce the price ... and you should just steal the signal like everybody else is doing . I don't even have cable installed at my place. I don't watch tv and I don't want too. It's just a big waste of time. I get 3 journals daily and I check the net for news.

get a hacked card, the usb burner is like $60 and then you just download the new deal when the card quits working.

My cable bill is like $150 a month but that includes internet and hdtv along with a few movie channels.

I just have the basic package plus HBO and the NFL pass.

I hear they "ZAP" those cards so often now, its not even worth it to try.

By the time I create a card, walk around my home and replace all the cards in all the rooms, the card will be zapped already.

What about buying receivers off of ebay and just using your cards in them? That would get you off the extra receiver charge. Or maybe tell em you got rid of those tv's and keep the receivers unless you have to return them?

We have 2 receivers for 1 signal on ours.

I just wanna know if I can somehow have say 3 recivers, and network the others to share or some shit..

The $5 a receive charge is the least of your worries, it's the way the prices creep up on the main package that's about $85 and it keeps going up. That bitch will be over $100 by the end of the year.

The extra receiver charge is so you can watch on totally seperate receivers, but you can just split the signal off one receiver and then you'll only be able to watch the same thing on the two tv's or three, however many you split it off of.

My one year contract expires in July..

I wonder if they will offer me a better deal, or if I get fucked and things shoot up..

Nah man the NFL package is just the 4 payments during that one of time of the year, the rest of the year I have it on just 2 of my tv's and it's only about $58.

And say the reciever is in the TV room, and im split to the Pool room.. How do i change channels when in the pool room?? Do i have to walk over to the other room and do it there?? Or?

Bone, do you have the 3 LNB HDTV dish? If so, I think you can just run seperate cables from that into each of the receivers. I only have a dual lnb so I can only use 2 receivers and have diff channels on each.

My year is up the end of July or begining of August, I think you can then get in on a promo deal if you renew for 1 year. I got in on a promo deal this year, if you buy in August you can get the NFL package for 4 payments of like $60 and get the premium package with all the pay channels for free for 4 months. I'm going to try to do it again if I can swing it and renew for the one year.

Dont even start me on my Cable internet costs!!!

I wanted DSL, but we live in a new neighborhood and its not availble yet.. Shit... DSL was only 34.99 before we moved up here.

Yeah I think you have to watch whatever is on the receiver in the other room basically and have no receiver on that tv, you just keep it tuned to channel 3 or some shit, and then you have to go to the other room to change channels. Now one thing you can do is if you get one of those expensive ass remote controls that works through walls and shit, then you could change channels on the receiver from any room in the house maybe, but I'm not sure.

I have a C-Band system (big dish) with a 4DTV receiver and a slaved mpeg FTA receiver. I pay under $100 a year for the all of the basic stuff I want to subscribe to (channels are ala carte) and alternate movie channel packages that range from $28-$50 for 3 months of 20 or so movie channels. On top of that there are hundreds of free channels up there. Equipment is a little higher to start with but you save it back many times over in the long run (plus often you can get it used free or cheap). It's a little more involved to use than DirecTV but you can't beat it for price/quantity of channels anywhere. :thumbsup

Man here in NJ cable is cheap. I have a 3mbps cable connection, only $30/month and digital cable here only costs like $10 more than regular cable. You get every ghannel around too.

I just have the basic cable package. I go to a discount movie theatre just not too far from here and of course we rent dvd'S. I think the tv is a 29" or more i'm not sure.

I dumped all my movie packages except HBO and now just use NetFlix. I never watched any of those channels, I kept HBO just for the Sopranos.

Yep I kept HBO just for Curb, Sopranos, Bill Maher and HBO boxing.

My Directv bill is only $62 after taxes. I get internet from the cable company and that's only $58 after taxes. Plus I get basic cable included for that price.

Don't get me started...Those same fuckers that are ripping you off with DirecTV fucked me over good when I lived somewhere without cable or DSL.

Let me state for the record that Direcway Satellite Internet is the worst ISP ever, lousy service, overpriced, and by downloading upgrades (necessary for me to connect) I unknowingly entered into a new "contract" for another year. After closing my bank account so they would stop charging me, now they are sending bills in the mail. Even though the bank charged back the last time they tried to bill my account. They have my social security # and therefore they can fuck with my credit.

Fucking thieves! No one could get away with this shit in the adult world...It's rebilling gone terribly over the edge.

i just cancelled 200+ channels and shit.

i dont even watch tv much if barely at all.

When I lived in Death Valley, I had 5 recievers hooked up with Driect TV (had to use two dishes) and the bill was like $400/month if I didn't buy a lot of PPVs.

Time Warner Cable here, I got more channels, no problems with reception, cable internet for like $110/month

so FUCK Direct TV where they breath

I have cox cable with all the channels plus NHL center ice, 2 recievers one with tivo or whatever they call it, i pay like $120

then I just use wireless video senders to send the signals to TVs in other rooms, fuck paying for more recievers

If you're paying $200 a month it is NOT because of the receivers. $39.95 for one receiver and $5 an additional receiver for their basic package. Even if you have their entire lineup with 250+ channels that includes every single premium it's still only $88 plus $5 an additional receiver.

So either you're buying a shitload of PPV's, sports packages that you can't get with cable, and all sorts or porn each month or you have 20 receivers or so in your house!!
