Payments to Westmaster
 

I want to signup to Westmaster, and get the smallest account (since my site is small), then one for $9.95. I dont have a credit card (and no, I cant get one either). All the payment methods thats left has a $20 bank fees according to Westmaster.

If I should pay $9.95/month for hosting should I then pay $20 for being able to pay? I think that smells fish...

My bank recommended me to use so called Cash Checks (Money Order), since it then is free of fees for Westmaster to get the money. No bank in the world takes money for taking a cash check (my bank told me), except Westmasters bank, cause when I talked to them there still was this $20 fees to be paid.

So it seems that the only way I can get away from this ugly fees is to pay them more than $350 at once (then they pay the fee), but that doesnt feel to safe, since I might not be happy with there hosting after a few month and then I wont get any money back.

Has anyone here been in the same situation or what should I do???

PS. I live in Sweden (if that does matter) DS.

Well, I have bad feelings with westmaster, but that is besides the point.

Sign up for Pay Pal, they will take payment that way, and you can use a checking account for it.

That is how I paid them.

I know a place where you can get the hosting up and running and then they send you an invoice in the mail. When you get the invoice, you send them a check. That place is http://www.webair.com they might now thave the best service on hearth, (and you can't afford the other one anyway or so it seems) so they are good for a starter like you.

www.isprime.com I heard about them through NetPond. Their rates are comparable to WestMaster, and they have been running a free host (pimpserver.com) a long time. They gave me a bunch of urls to test of sites that they have virtual hosted, and all seem to pull up pretty fast.

note there is no overusage available on there starter plan, so I assume if you exceed the 1GB your capped for the month, the 2nd plan is 8$/GB over, a little deer maybe for starting out.
Depending on what you're going to be doing 1GB can go so easy.
My only tip is be sure to read all the small print befor deciding and always register your domain name yourself.
