Can you recommend some AVSs

Spot your referral codes, if I like the AVS I'll use it

I already have cyberage adult check and FNP and a couple of other small ones

I want to get a couple more good ones, not necessarily for traffic, rather solid regular payments are important

Rip,
Number one seller for me has always been Adult Check. Just making AVS sales sites that use their standard script has outsold any other AVS I have ever tried. And I can't stand them(I'll never make another Gold site), so you know I am not bullshitting you.

My buddies kick ass with SexKey. So that's two of them for you, dude.

The problem that I have is similar to what you eluded to Steve, is after having a couple interesting reviews, it pisses you off.
I have had a couple, one from Adult Check who could not spell or grammatically construct an English sentence telling me I had too many banners (2 per page) and that the ?contents?(sic) ?wassing hard to finding?, so I submitted it to Cyberage instead, the next week another site (2 banners per page) was submitted this time to Cyberage first (because I was pissed at AC) this time the review was that Cyberage did not allow 2 banners per page. I emailed back asking them to show me where it said that in the rules, they sent me to a url which of course did not have any rules common with the reason the site was rejected. So I submitted it to Adult Check, unchanged and it was accepted.

This inconsistency really irks me, and likely the problem is that they have some volunteers or people working for minimum wage who have never made any money before in their life, let alone being fluent in English (how the heck can they find the content links if they can?t read)

The way I am looking at it right now, is that I have my own paysites, if I want to have a place without banners, I can do it there.

I don?t have enough time in the day to fart around with guessing if a site is going to be accepted or not, so I?d rather have a couple of good smaller AVSs who most surfers do not have memberships for, and sell them instead.

Ah well my rant for the day, I am putting all of my free content pretty much behind AVSs, and I?d rather work with a company who is consistent and actually understands that this is about making money. If I am going to pay for bandwidth, take the time to design the site etc etc, then I am entitled to place a banner or two. http://bbs.gofuckyourself.com/board/wink.gif

Wow..... very interesting stuff here. Gary, I just checked out PNP, cuz it sounded interesting... but DAMN! They got some serious rules goin' on with that thing!

Rip, I've been submitting sites to CyberAge with 3 to 5 banners per page and they have been accepting them like nobody's business... I do have somewhat unique designs as far as AVS is concerned... they look more like full blown paysites.. (they are actually fragments of a paysite conversion I'm doing), but the only thing they ever told me was to take down the couple of pop-behinds I had goin' on... I did that in about 5 minutes and got approval while still on the phone. I have to say, I still haven't made a fuckin' dime off any of them... but I think it's alot easier to get accepted into CyberAge than, for instance, those crazy rules PNP has. I do like their (PNP's) philosophy, but I really don't want to have to go back and update all these sites later on (as with PNP)... I'd rather build 'em and forget 'em. My trouble with CyberAge is the host for free with no banners, but give only small amount of disk space... and when you ask them to bump it, they only bump by a few megs.... so I'm kinda stuck right now too.... probably just register more domains and link them al together or something.

Just some input here... don't have a point to make or anything... just thought I'd throw in the ol' 2 cents.

(damn, I'm missing all kinds of letters in there.... time for a new keyboard)

The "gold-type" sites are not that interesting, to me, you're much better off with a small cheap mini-paysite and keep 100% of the revenue for yourself

I do well with SexKey and Adult Check

Adult Check and Cyberage do very good for me, but i'd go with Adult Check if i had to choose 'cos they send more traffic.

Not knocking your program specifically but many "gold" programs ask for lets say 300 pictures, updated regularly (monthly bi monthly)

on average a quality 300 picture cd is going to cost $200, unless you get an el cheapo one

a non templated quality site will take 2 hours to build, 4 hours if one adds some simple graphics, I dunno how much every one pays themselves, but lets say $100 bucks for the software costs and wages

so you are in for $200 to $300 costs, then you have to pay for hosting say $50 -$100 a month for domain name and associated hosting costs. After that you are allowed a restrictive number of outgoing links, however many the program says

I suppose for some people it works, but you still have to drive traffic to the site, and you are not allowed usually to install upsells.

PNP Dave,
I didn't mean to give the impression I was knockin' your program or anything... I just saw it for the first time today... but from reading the rules, it just seems like something that's more involved than I wanna get right now... specifically, I really don't wanna go the update every month or six months route... rather build 'em and put 'em outta my mind. I DO make very nice looking sites. Not your typical AVS site for sure... but I've got too much other stuff going on to be trying to update sites all the time.

Anyway, I hope you didn't get the wrong idea by my last post... things change daily, and I may be knockin' on your door in the future to make something happen. http://bbs.gofuckyourself.com/board/wink.gif

Gary 08-30-2001 09:50 PM

actually, PNP has something like if you build one site a month you dont have to update existing ones. That works nicely for me, cause i build and forget as well.

The only downside of the program is that one of their reviewers sexually abuses goats. Or so ive heard. http://bbs.gofuckyourself.com/board/smile.gif

PremiumNetPass Dave 08-30-2001 10:06 PM

Right on Amputate http://bbs.gofuckyourself.com/board/smile.gif Was just trying to explain why we have the script policies http://bbs.gofuckyourself.com/board/smile.gif

And yes, Gary is right. You don't have to update all of your sites monthly, rather if you have the option to update your existing sites or simply add one new site/month.
