most people don't even know what Cinco de Mayo is all about :)

did you know we don't celebrate that holiday in Mexico? only the mexicans living in the States do.

the only real cinco de mayo festival is going on here in LA.They actually shut all of downtown LA and Olivera street,over 500,000 drunk and partying mexicans and shops to buy any trinkets and shot glasses.Its wonderful!

and I don't know what's all the celebration about.. sure 4,500 mexicans defeated a french army of 6,500 soldiers.. a big accomplishment for a country that was in debt and political chaos.. they forget to mention that a year later Napoleon III sent 30,000 troops deposing the mexican army and installing an Austrian Archduke as the emperor of Mexico lol.. (good thing it only lasted 3 years)
