Little help please? Windows embedded plugin in Firefox pissing me off

i cannot find this plugin anywhere. i have loaded the new media player, the new firefox, and gone on an hour + search spree for how to see embedded windows media files in this browser. i have tried many different sites. not one will play an embedded wmv in firefox.

this is my second thread. i spent another couple hours a few days ago off of information provided in that thread.

this is irritating. :1orglaugh

I have the exact same problem. Not on every site though, which is odd as hell. Mainly when I try to watch videos on WWE.com...but I've had the same results...nothing I do make is work.

its extremely frustrating. i never ever had this problem with firefox.

I'm having to reinstall my IM progs on this POS desktop (AIM WBWitch) -- call me at home (Megan has the #), and let me see if I can figure it out for ya. Might be something simple!

BTW -- can you play NO wmvs (try the trailers) or just these new ones?

type "about:plugins" in your address bar, and see if anything's installed to handle mplayer2 files.

Oh yeah, and what version of FF are you using?

I *SO* know how you feel! That's why I'm offering fresh eyes & ears... it may save a piece of equipment from an untimely demise :1orglaugh

Edit: And my AIM's installed... hit me up
