i got this in an email, i guess the cop was Phx P.D. About 6'4" & 240lbs, these pics are not too bad, but if your queasy, dont look




The photos are of an officer trained in hand-to-hand combat.

The officer figured, due to his size and fighting skills, he could disarm a knife wielding aggressor.

Here is why I am forwarding these on.

To all the idiots out there who always say, "Why did the cops have to shoot him? He only had a (insert your choice of weapons here, i.e. knife, bat, club. whatever). He didn't have to be shot.

To that, I respond, "tough crap ... shoot'em".

If an officer tells you to drop your weapon, just drop it.

If you're a retard, stupid, on crack, mental or just "scared" ... too bad. No one deserves what this cop got for just doing his job. If you've got a knife, then you should die ... period.

This is vivid proof of how deadly people who are "only armed with a knife" can be. Some of the public think that officers should try to disarm someone armed with a knife but anyone who has had training in knife fighting will tell you - even if you win you are going to get cut.

Keep this in the back of your mind when confronting someone armed with an edged weapon.

If the cop figured he would disarm the knifeman with his hands, why did he continue to try to do so after teh first or second slicing?

Sure, the cop got sliced good and proper, but it can't possibly have been attempted murder. If it was, then the attacker was really crap.

the sad thing is, that many times civilian review boards have tried to hammer cops for shooting guys with knives.

ONe of the major cases happened in Miami, and they went to trial for the cops life. They were trying to execute him for shooting the guy. But he was smart and hired an " Knife expert " who told the judge that he could get to ANY cop, before they could draw and fire the weapon, from as far away as 21 feet.

He proved it in court, and the cop won. He eventually lost his job on a few other minor things about the case, but at least he did not go to jail, or die in the chair.

Just because a guy has a knife doesnt mean thats going to happen everytime. you have to look at cases in perspective instead of lumping them together and saying . cops have to shoot people with knives..

What if a guy is cooking steaks in the back yard a cop chases a perp into the yard, see's homeowner with knife , tells him to drop it. ( man is deaf ) boom. there goes your theory.

What if a guy is on a balcony witha knife.. there are many scenario's that dont require cops to execute people.. and many that do.. Looking at each case individually as we normally do is prob best instead of just blindly handing over cops the right to shoot people.

Obviously the best is advice is , dont have a weapon and certainly dont display it when a cop tells you not to.. i dont think anyone argues that fact..

I'd have put two in his chest and one in his head the second I saw that knife. Let the armchair quarterbacks sort it out later. That poor bastard is going to look like a Christmas ham for the rest of his life and that's IF he's lucky enough that nothing vital got cut.

some black dude pulled a handgun on the hells angels and got stabbed and kicked to death .. ( at a big concert with the stones etc )

thats fucked up but shouldn't he been wearing a stab proof vest? its standard issue for uk cops (who don't carry guns or need to shoot people unless they look arab and are running for the tube) and you lot are usualy miles ahead of us

fake or not, i totally understand the protocol for police use of deadly force.

what a lot of people dont understand is that cops are trained that if they use deadly force, it is exactly that, deadly force... they are not trained to wound suspects... they are trained if they shoot, they shoot to kill...

if a police officer tells you to drop your weapon and you dont, then you deserve whats coming...

police have a tough job and they dont need it to be tougher by people not obeying their commands...

on the flip side, i belive that police need more options when it comes to taking down a suspect.... stun guns, pepper spray, rubber bullets, etc...
