Does your LCD have subtle flicker in dark areas?

I just bought a Rad-5 flatpanel -- noticed some subtle flicker in dark areas... I'm wondering if this is normal or if it's just my video card... or the wiring of my apartment -- who the fuck knows... Maybe it's this shitty monitor... From all the reviews I read of this Rad-5 -- I'm leaning to thinking it's my video card.

a good ol format c: will resolve the issue.

It's hardly even flicker -- it's more like a pulsation... and so far I can only detect it on large dark gray areas (like on GFY) -- otherwise it seems rock steady... It's almost so subtle it's not even worth returning it... Hmm...

if u r trying to hook it to a flat panel port on your graphics card that could be the prob too

i had that, so i used normal monitor port instead of the flat panel shit

It's 99% gone now I think -- I had to toy with the "phase" option...

These LCD's are bizarre... To get them set up is like trying to get Uhura on StarTrek to decode the alien frequency...

Well the Rad-5 is Analog only... so there was only one option with my video card. To get it working perfect I had to set it up in Windows to 75hz -- then fuck with the phase button to remove the flicker -- then you have to press this "Auto Tune" button which lines up all the pixels on your Analog signal w/ the pixels of your LCD... Kindof a pain in the ass, but I guess it's worth it...

Fortunately I have no dropped pixels. Only thing I don't really dig is that the black areas aren't true black like on a CRT.
