Ok, tell me if you celebrate Valentines Day!
 

With it just around the corner & all of the V-day promos (including mine, hint hint) in full effect it got me wondering how gfy'ers spend Valentines Day?

Seems like a lot of people think it's just a big waste of time & money, and others go all out.
So, tell me, how do you celebrate if you do, and if not, why not?What are your plans?

I buy a Whitman's sampler for my fuck of the week and that's it. It's a "holiday" completely manufactured by the greeting card industry. It means absolute shit.

Is the bank and post office are still open, it is no longer a holiday. :2 cents:

We normally do something romantic such as dinner out but, this year will be spent knee deep in packing paper and boxes.

hell if i know whats going down this year, and i doubt ill be surpised in any way whatsoever....so there no plans. im tired of all the holidays where I have to make plans, i love valentines day but for the past couple of years its just been bs.

Not doing anything for it. Don't believe in it at all.

If i want to go buy her something nice, i'll do it in my own time thank you very much!

Yeah i do,but i remember you should try and celebrate your relationship at other times

usual flowers etc. nothing too much. I just paid for a dozen roses from a local place and jesus prices have went up.

My wife and I had her first date on Valentine's Day, so it's like a fucking holiday here. In fact, our daughter's middle name is Valentine. It's like Christmas but worse!

So sounds like most of you don't really go all out for it. (and even hate it)

But isn't it kind of fun? Especially when you are just meeting someone new, or in the beginnings of a relationship.
And when you were a kid, the cheap Valentines Day cards you gave out in class... that was always fun!

Normally it's just an excuse to have a fun evening right. I'm not the kinda girl that needs a fuss ;) But I'm single this year so i'll be doing nothing. Boohoo! :>

I think its a great way to take out that special person for an all out weekend (especially if it falls on a weekend), but when your single, it does make people bitter too.

Yup. But just a simple dinner with my wife will do.. :)

The holiday coincided with a shin-dig in San Francisco I'm attending, so we decided to make a little vacation out of it this year...

Flying out to San Fran Friday morning to spend a romantic weekend in the Bay area... the festivities include a fine dining 4 course Chocolate and Beer dinner... a bus trip up to Wine Country... and Irish Coffees on the bay. Also bought her the soundtrack and DVD for "Once"... a movie we both thoroughly enjoyed.

And I keep joking with her, since it arrived last week, that this was an early Valentine's Day gift:

I'll be at work 'til 8 for our feature show...then watch my brother's hockey game...then cry myself to sleep

I have never celebrated Valentines in my whole life!

But this time I want to celebrate it with my brother & dad. Just want to go out, dine & enjoy... well that is if I have time... :(

and might celebrate it later, not exactly on the day!

I always enjoyed trying to tell the girl I had a crush on that I wanted her by giving her those candy hearts and a fun little valentine...although I did learn at a young age that massaging a girls feet without her permission is inappropriate.
