daily blog posts?
 

from aug 1 i have a full time guy. he will make blog posts 40 hours/week for me.

how many 200 words blog posts/day should i ask from him?

minimum 3 or 4 :D I update my blog around 3-10 times a day

Depends on a few things but I reckon somewhere between 32-50.

I'd say around that too, aiming for around 40-45 should be doable once he gets into it.

About 7,8 daily, he feel free to add some of your blogs to my directory, link in sig :)

8 hours, 5 days a week and only 1x 200 word blog post an hour?

If you only have the one blog I wouldn't be updating it more then 5-6 times a day, have him do link trades and spend some time on internal advertising as well it isn't just about updating your blog 100 times a day...

I'd say ~20-30 a day.

I would say about 80 if he also has to insert images, alt tags and stuff like that.

I don't understand the issue on paying other to write Blog posts... and here is the reasoning... each Blog post is often very short and very vague and overall does not offer much to the reader... I understand the reason for fresh content for indexing, however, I can't see the benefits over weighing the cost and effort.

Anyone can give their opinion and write a couple hundred words, however, it does not mean that they are competent writers.

A professional writer would charge per word approx $1.00 for research papers and technical materials.

How many people could write just from memory 5 - 10 articles per day without taking the time to do proper research into their articles... the time to research and to write is the justification for $ 1.00 per word rates plus the articles still remain the property of the writer unless they sell you the exclusive rights, even though you hire them to write for you.

I would not write for anything less then $ 0.30 per word and such would only touch lightly on the very surface of subjects...

If had time to write 10 posts for a blog a day I would make 10 blogs with one or two posts instead.

2 times a day is enough

I'd say 600 times per day.

I'd assume this person has more than one blog, hiring a FTE to blog on one site sounds nutty to me
