If I could prove a program was cheating, hard facts, would you still promote them?

I'm curious who will turn a blind eye to it if such information were to be presented.

Though I don't expect anyone to post in this thread to answer it.

sandman! 10-12-2008 06:20 PM

sure i will bite whats the program ?

d-null 10-12-2008 06:21 PM

I'd probably phase them out asap because it would probably be a start to something that will get worse and worse :2 cents:

what program?

tony286 10-12-2008 06:23 PM

sadly probably wouldnt make a difference.

That's what I'm thinking too.

After reading so many posts about scamming programs, dating sites and people who steal content yet people still promote them, it leaves me to believe that most will sell anything so long as they are not the ones getting fucked over.

collegeboobies 10-12-2008 06:34 PM

If they earned me more than the other program I could be using instead

Tempest 10-12-2008 06:35 PM

Since your question is hypothetical, then my answer is hypothetical... Yes, I'd drop all their links immediately....

Cheating implies shaving of sales or not paying earned comissions.

The majority of webmasters don't care about stolen content, but they do care about stolen money.

Lycanthrope 10-12-2008 06:48 PM

People still promoted PIB Cash after their grandiose outing for phucks sake.

I would drop them, but sadly, not everyone would.

What if the sponsor in question was your best converting / most profitable sponsor?

MarcWomack 10-12-2008 07:29 PM

Yeah, you gotta narrow down what cheating is. If they were like using stolen content I'd drop them. But if it's just shaving, shit you're on crack if you think there's a program that doesn't shave.

We track every ad impression we do for every program and the revenue. Then we compare the RPM: revenue / 1000 impressions. Only way to compare ALL programs accurately and RPM takes into account, click-thru ratio, conversion ratio, payouts, AND shaving.

brand0n 10-12-2008 09:17 PM

that would depend on the $ per click ratio im making with them

if its doing as well as other programs, sure why not.

That's an even better question. :thumbsup

SilentKnight 10-13-2008 07:55 AM

We've caught affiliates cheating (shaving) in the past - and immediately dropped their links.

KastleArchives.com doesn't do business with dishonest individuals.

tranza 10-13-2008 08:09 AM

I'd drop it very fast.

:2 cents:
