My gallery template sucked, I was told.
 

In another forum webmasters had a good laugh at my old, outdated, horrible gallery templates. I was hurt, but not for long. I understand. I am trying with my limited graphic skills to produce a better template.

Please suggest the correct fonts, background, anything that will help me.

you can make comments on how terrible I am at webpage art, I agree.

You have all in the past help me with everything and critical though is very welcomed.

Also, I thank "The Heron" for pointing this out. I realize now that living in the past is foolish. After I complete the template design I will begin work on my preview pages and join pages.

I like the back ground image. Get rid of the 3D bevel text "XXX Comic Un.....etc"
Get rid of the multiple borders around the main template. :2 cents:

Get rid of background image, it takes attention away from the content which is what you want the surfer to focus on. Get rid of 3D text as mentioned above.

Get a copy of arles web page creator and you can make simple descent galleries very easily. Good luck and dont listen to the haters!

Hell I like it.. psst It don't matter if webmasters like it or not, what really matters is if you can sell it? All you can do is try it and then tweak it!

Surfers don't care about design... but how FUNCTIONAL is it? Background is fine.. just lighten it up about 60% so it isn't the thing your eyes hit first. thumbnails need to be crisp and sharp. Size looks good, just up the contrast by 40 points on them... there are other suggestions I have, but that's enough for now :)

I had in the past become lazy and focused on non porn money. This F&cking economy has made me have to get back to the basics.

These shit galleries have made 20,000+ sales in the past 8 years. They were consistant until last year and then they started to drop, month by month. Also in the past there were not so many cartoon/anime sites, I enjoyed a good niche. I focused on my land development endevors during that time hopefully getting out of the adult biz.

Well, I am back in and trying to recover.

Love to all, I do miss this group of risk taking kindred spirits.

*I'd take away the BG image. The real boobs take away from the actual gallery images. Use a solid color, maybe pic one from the toons themselves, a dark green or olive.
*I'd use a darker background color for the actual picture table..white doenst mix well with the toon colors
*I'd reduce the image size to 150x180 and put 4 thumbs across with cell spacing of 5 and cell padidng of 3
*Id make sure to either but banner art or at least 4 lines of text or some combination of text and banner ads.. between each section of images broken down into 4, 8, 4 - after the top 4, next 8 and keep the 'click now' at the bottom

Quoted for truth. Don't ask webmasters if they like it, try sticking to asking experienced gallery submitters if they think the way you created the gallery would help increase sales for you.

Actually, don't do that. Designers generally have zero clue about what sells, if they did they'd be selling memberships not gallery templates.

Newer version is a good step in the right direction that's for sure!
As noted, not sure that the bg image isn't going to distract still or add any value to the surfers experience.
Going 4 wide might be better, most surfers like less scrolling and higher chance they see more of the ad text.

all the other things that I am doing are also working. I am promoting other sites and have made 6 extra sales since monday. Should have done this a long time ago.
