Gonna be insane how much Dubai will change in the next few years.

Especially when you think about the changes in a short space of time already...

Wow, very beautiful but what a waste of money when there are so many people suffering.

Drake 10-20-2008 08:47 AM

When I lived in NYC, my friend introduced me to a friend of his who was second in command at the steelworkers union. He said you want a job $1500 a week and this was in the early 90's. The thought of going those heights,I was like no way.lol

NicAngel 10-20-2008 08:51 AM

is there a bathroom up there?

Rochard 10-20-2008 08:52 AM

Yeah, fuck that. You couldn't pay me enough to do that.

Bojangles 10-20-2008 08:52 AM

Thats cool.

mrwilson 10-20-2008 08:54 AM

What a view you would get from up there!

cwd 10-20-2008 08:56 AM

Do you wear a parachute for safety? Somehow the idea of being in a building looking down at airplanes makes me nervous...

One or two terrorist attacks and that city will done for. They won't be able to convince the westerners to keep coming and spending money. You know it's going to happen too, some of those extremist will see that city as a disgrace to Allah.

MandyBlake 10-20-2008 09:28 AM

DWB 10-20-2008 09:54 AM

If the money was good I could do it. Not scared of heights at all.

A-n-D-r-E-S 10-20-2008 09:56 AM

blonda80 10-20-2008 10:02 AM

no thanks :)

WebairChris 10-20-2008 10:04 AM

Wow that building looks crazy tall. Used to work as an electrician in NYC and I would have jobs sometimes on the roof of an unfinished sky scraper. You wouldn't believe how cold and windy it gets up there and there is nothing to support you except a small railing. Highest I have ever been was 44 stories. Wonder how many stories that thing has looks incredible.

NoWhErE 10-20-2008 10:06 AM

I think it would actually be pretty cool to work on something like that

TommyM 10-20-2008 10:07 AM

I wouldnt even go into that building, thats how scared I am of heights

Brandon99 10-20-2008 10:15 AM

According to http://www.burjdubaiskyscraper.com/, the Burj Dubai skyscraper is 730 meters high right now. That's 2395 feet tall. The Twin Towers were 1,368 ft. That's a pretty big difference.:eyecrazy

Jodee_ExoticPays 10-20-2008 10:17 AM

i wouldnt wanna go in there either.

Violetta 10-20-2008 10:21 AM

When the big glass dome goes up around the whole city, it's time to start to worry.

yeah friend was there 2 months ago. He said that all the poor people (who build all these buildings, etc) live on the outskirts. And while you are allowed to take pictures of the beautiful, nice parts of the city, there are signs in the poor parts (slums) saying "no photos allowed"
