Does Cote Have Even a 2% Chance of Beating Silva?
I just can't see it happening.
|
me either. im excited to watch it thought. should be a good matchup. I love watching sylvia fight. you never know how he is gonna win, knockout, submission. he is a beat.
|
Not close with skills but ANYONE can get caught on the chin and go down. It could happen.
|
Punchers chance. Cote is tough for a Canadian. But Silva is a bad man!!!
|
In MMA there is always a chance to land a lucky punch to end the fight, but I don't think luck is going to be a factor in this fight.
|
lol
He dead.........
|
Petruzelli had an even lower chance to knock out kimbo and look how that turned out. In MMA anything is possible. We'll see
|
That's about right... about 2% chance. But that's if someone from the audience throws hot salty buttered popcorn into Anderson Silva's eyes and Cote gets in a cheap shot.
Anderson Silva is just fuckin dangerous and fast as hell. I'm actually looking forward to the Brock Lessner fight. Should be interesting and at least it will go further that 1 round like the Silva Cote fight will. |
Anderson *should* wreck Cote easily. However, it is MMA, so I'd definitely say Cote has at least a 2% chance of winning.
Remember these recent massive upsets: GSP vs Serra 1 Gonzaga vs CroCop Forrest Griffin vs Shogun Rua Hell, even Rashad KOing Chuck. |
Coté has at least 25 % chances of winning this if it keeps standing up... very hard hitter with iron chin, nowdays way more technical then Leben once was.
|
I thought you were talking about drugs. Nevermind.

That being said...its MMA. Anything can, and does happen. Realistically though...Cote is toast. |
Silva is hands down (i suppose in my opinion) the best fighter in the world and I SO badly want to cheer for my fellow Canadian.... SO bad but can't cause I know his block is going to get knocked.... probably by a kick to the head!
|
What are the betting odds on the fight ?
|
I like cote, but i dont see anyone beating silva for a long time. I do believe he wont be out classed when he does loose. It will be a wide right from a shorter overly muscular fighter that catches him off guard.

Anything is possible, with the exception of Silva.
I watched him simply demolish Dan Henderson the other night, and believe me Dan is a much better fighter then Cote. It was crazy to see how Dan could barely put up a fight against this monster Silva. I want to see Rampage against Silva again, without the broken ribs. As long as Silva is willing to stand with a big hitter (not cote) he will run the risk of getting caught on the chin. He is just too relaxed and comfortable in the ring, freak of nature.. truly. |

It's called PRIDE fighting, and some of the best matchups ever were on PRIDE. |

Anderson Silva and Rampage fought in PRIDE FIGHTING, Anderson broke Rampage's ribs. The problem with the UFC is that a lot of people are just now "tuning in". Again, some of the best match ups ever were on PRIDE FIGHTING, and one of them happen to be Rampage Jackson vs. Anderson Silva. Trust me, I know my shit :2 cents: |
Jesus,
I think I am wrong. Maybe my memory indexed it because it was knees that won W. Silva the match.. but fuck I could have sworn it was Anderson throwing them. |

I just looked at their respective Wikipedia pages and couldnt find a record of either of them fighting. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rampage_Jackson http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anderson_Silva |

like I said.. I think it was the knees that threw me off. |

Im still anxious to see how he does against a top level 205er. I kinda feel like itll be too much weight for him, but then again...he is Anderson Silva. Anything is possible. |
