I'd say you need 50k to sustain yourself. With 50k you can play with couple of lots on profitable deals. If the position goes bad, you will still get daily bonuses for keeping it open and eventually get your money back.

How long did it take you to get from -$2k to +$20k? Sounds like you're gambling some big amounts.

I'm still not confident enough to go into the live trading world. I've been reading and playing with trial accounts from a few different companies. I'm just over 2 months in (when they say you should be up to speed and go live) and still not feeling ready.

Yes, I did have a lot of lots open. So basically I was playing on small changes. If I were to buy the USD before the recent growth, I would buy an island and a hundred asian hookers to keep me entertained.
