Larry King asked McCain straight up, "You don't really think Senator Obama is a Socialist do you?" His answer of course was "No." We all know that McCain's campaign got desperate the last weeks/days before the election, but I really have to question the sanity of the American people that would actually believe that Obama, a major party candidate for president of the U.S, is a socialist.

Regardless of how intelligent the masses are, it's plainly obvious that the Republican Party uses fear tactics to convince you. You see it here and on many other forums and boards. Anyone speaking on behalf of the conservatives says: Obama is a Socialist, Obama is a racist, Obama is a muslim, Obama has terrorist ties, so on and so forth. Why don't conservatives notice this? And more important, why don't they feel insulted?

it was best said on tv here i think it was a reporter who lived a great deal in the US - there is no right and left in the US, there is far-right and right. So the socialist claim is just utterly rediculous.

I thought McCain did well on Larry King. He seemed relaxed, yet energized.

And he said Obama was in no way a socialist. Basically, he made it clear that you have been lied to.
